Thank you for viewing my profile! I'm Kristen. I'm fairly new to Iowa, having moved here just 3 years ago, but I'm not new to pet sitting/pet hosting. Before we moved here, we lived in Charleston, SC, and I was a pet host for a company. It was a fantastic experience and a joy to care for people's pets when they had to be out of town. I am a homemaker and part-time freelance artist, so I spend most of my days working in the home or in our yard, allowing me plenty of time to spend with animals in our care. My children are ages 6, 11, and 13, and animals lovers, just like my husband and I. We have had dogs and cats throughout our childhoods and adult lives, and have experience caring for animals of all ages and sizes! The animals in our household currently consist of Dharma, our 11yo Australian Shepherd, two indoor/outdoor cats (Madame Purie and Heisenberg), and 14 hens who have their own gated community in the backyard. Our dog and cats are friendly towards other animals and have never shown aggression, and are up to date on shots. Our 4,000 square foot house offers plenty of room for pups of all sizes and ages to roam freely indoors, just like our own pets do. Stairs and hard floors can be gated off if your dog can't be on them for any reason. Our home sits on nearly 3 acres just outside of Urbana. While our property is not fenced, I am able to walk dogs in my care on a leash 6 or more times a day for bathroom breaks. In addition, we are just 1/4 mile from the nature trail if your pup is used to more lengthy daily walks! I look forward to hosting your beloved dogs!
