I have had dogs since I was a child and have never met one I didn’t get along with. My golden retriever also loves making new friends and will make friends with everyone she meets.

We’ve had Candace care for our high-energy black lab many times and she’s done a wonderful job with her! Candace is a dependable animal lover who will treat your pet like her own. Whether it’s a quick potty break and feeding, playtime or a walk, Candace will always provide some extra attention to ensure your pet is happy and comfortable! Always our first choice to take care of our girl!
I chose Candace to dog sit my 2 dogs for me while I was out of town for almost a week, and boy I’m glad I did! She was meticulous and paid attention to every detail and instruction I gave her before I left. My dogs were well taken care of and almost wouldn’t even let her leave once I got back! They love her and so do I, she did a great job and I’ll definitely be calling her again!

My house does not have a fence, but we do have a spot that a long leash can be tied up if necessary. The yard gives plenty of room for dogs to run and play fetch or get their zoomies out after a long day. If I am at someone’s home, I try to stay to their normal routine as much as possible with going outside and eating at regular hours so the animal does not feel uncomfortable.

I find it always good to know how the dog will react in a new surrounding and what I can do to help them feel more comfortable, which would include knowing their routines. It’s also good to know if they have food allergies because we love giving treats.
A typical day
I enjoy taking my dog to Grant Park to walk the trails or run through the dog park section. I also enjoy going for runs around my neighborhood, or playing in the backyard. We have a kiddy pool that we let the pups splash around in on the hot days.

Availability
I do work a full time job, but have access to work remotely as needed. Because I work so much during the day, I take extra time in the evenings and on weekends to give my own dog plenty of attention and play time, including outside play pending weather.
