Stay at home Dog lover
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Candace. I live with my parents in Woburn, MA. I am and always have been an animal lover! I grew up with an amazing family dog named Cocoa for thirteen years. I used to love to take her on walks, play with her outside, snuggle with her, and care for her. After Cocoa passed, we took on a rescue cat, Max, and then adopted a dog named Carla from a family friend who passed away. Carla and Max are both very docile and have had no issues with any of the dogs that have stayed here. I love working for Rover because I love caring for and being around dogs. We have a big fenced-in backyard for our dogs to run around and we live in a great neighborhood for walking them. I would love to help take care of your beloved pup so send me a message and I will respond within a few hours :) Looking forward to hearing from you!
Reviews
We know Percy is well taken care of with Candace!
Candace is the best!
Candace was wonderful with our dog, Byron. She was so open and comfortable with all of his limitations and medications. It is always a concern for us when we are away. However, she provided us with updates, photos and any questions she had. It was such a relief having her watch Byron for us. We will definitely be using her again!
Percy’s favorite sitter by far!

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets the way they need to be cared for. For the first day there is usually confusion on the dog’s part and they need more attention, affection, and exercise to alleviate their anxiety. Once the dog has adjusted, we continue to make the environment very comforting just by being animal lovers. I live with my mom and dad who are animal lovers and we all try to give our visitor dogs special guest treatment through love, care, and interaction.

Information Candace M. would like to know about your pet
Let me know any information that will be helpful to accommodate the needs and personalities of your dog. Meet and Greets are good just to get the dogs adjusted to our family and a new environment. I take care of all breeds except for Labs and Golden Retrievers as per my experience they require constant supervision with their eating habits and need for excessive exercise. (It’s too much labor and energy for $50/ day, I apologize.) The dogs I take care of get two short outings in our backyard or up and down the street post meals. They also get a 45-60 minute walk in the afternoon/ evening. We let the dogs hangout and play in the backyard with our dog whenever they want to. If they require more exercise and attention than that, I cannot do a sufficient job taking care of them as I am doing treatment for Lyme disease at home and applying for grad schools, and my own energy is limited. Dog breeds that I especially love are poodles and any mixed breed with poodles, chihuahuas and mixed chihuahuas, terriers, spaniels, pugs, and mutts.
A typical day
Waking up usually with the dog in bed, unless the owner or the dog wants to sleep downstairs on our couch or somewhere else. Take the dog outside to relieve themselves. Breakfast. A quick outing 20-30 minutes after breakfast. The long walks are done in the afternoon or evening. Dinner. Another short outing within an hour of eating. Take the dog out before bed and then go to sleep. In the meantime throughout the day, the dogs usually just hang around me with my other pets on the couch, or in the dining room which has a lot of sunlight, or on our back porch if they want to sunbathe with Carla.

I am living at home full time. I will be with the dogs all day except for occasional doctor appointments and few social outings. So I’m able to be with them from the time they get up till the time they go back to bed.
