Pet care experience
I love all animals, but I specialize in caring for high-needs dogs who require patience, medicine administration, and particular attention. I have two elderly chihuahua-terrier mixes of my own and am excellent at understanding dogs’ boundaries and meeting them where they are.

Candace has taken excellent care of our pup, Monty, and our home, on multiple occasions. Candace has a wonderful way with animals and respect for people, pets and spaces. Monty does well with Candace's two dogs, Woodie and Moonpie, and loves company when they visit. Highly recommend Candace for all your pet sitting, walking and care needs!
Candace is great! They have taken such good care of my pup every time they’ve watched him! They have done both short and long term sittings for me and my dog always has a great time! They truly care about the well-being and comfort of the animals in their care. They are patient, kind, and very respectful to both humans and animals!
Poppy is an incredible fur parent and caretaker. We have left our terrier with them on numerous occasions and trust he is far better cared for than with us! Poppy is very in tune with animals’ needs and delights in meeting them. Our dog gets along with Poppy’s two little dogs and is quick to snuggle up and jump in Poppy’s lap when we see them. Highly recommend for all your pet care, walking and house sitting needs!

I do not currently offer boarding services. I am to match the care dogs are used to at home, following the same rules. I am available to take dogs on park adventures as well, and have a carrier in my vehicle.

I like to know what the animal’s typical behavior is so I can come prepared, but I am also quite intuitive at matching their energy.
A typical day
I like to spend time getting comfortable together if possible before putting on leashes or taking pets out of their environment - however much or little the animal needs! Pets, play, and outdoor adventures are all on the agenda. Right now I am not taking animals to off-leash parks due to the respiratory virus that is circulating.

My work is flexible and my own dogs are on a consistent schedule. I am generally available for mid-day and evening care, some overnights possible.
