Pet care experience
Hi there, my name is Cammie and I would be happy to help out with your pup. My life is pretty much exclusively dog focused and that has set me up to be the perfect person to watch your dog while you're away. My goal is to give you the peace of mind every pet owner seeks when they leave their pups and I attempt to alleviate any separation anxiety with as many photos, check ins, and updates as makes you happy. I currently work at a dog rescue where I've been for 5 years and I grew up with multiple high energy/high drive German shorthaired pointers, a hound, and corgi. I am able to deal with different levels of dog insanity simultaneously. My pointer that passed this past year was dog reactive/selective so I am very comfortable dealing with similar behavioral issues. I've dealt with many special medical needs pups in my time in rescue as well. Currently I have two dogs, Cash and Lucille. Cash is a 70 lb hound/pointer mix and is high energy (and up to date on all vaccines including bordatella). If you require boarding services and have a high energy, dog friendly, fully vaccinated pup then we would be a great fit as Cash loves to play. Our newest addition is a German shorthaired pointer pup, Lucille. She is a typical puppy with lots of energy and loves to play. I also have a treadmill made for dogs that helps with any extra energy, especially on those rainy days. I do prefer to boarding pups to be crate trained if possible as I don't like leaving even the nicest of pups alone unsupervised. Let me know if you have any questions regarding this! I do ask that you are honest about your dogs limitations and social level as I am not able to work with highly anxious dogs or dog aggressive pups due to my current time and space limitations. Please reach out if you have any questions especially around ensuring we're a good fit for your dog!
Reviews
Cammie was great and super accommodating as we had a lose travel plan coming in from the coast. She also has a GSP, which is great. IYKYK. Would happily book again when visiting Portland.
Cammie is a rockstar. She has helped out my family many times and is very skilled with animals. She was wonderfully communicative and sent lots of pictures to reassure me, especially when I needed help after my lab had knee surgery.
Cammie was wonderful. We will definitely use her again
Cammie was great! Would definitely rehire. She handled my extra high strung black lab like a pro, was on time, and communicated well. I especially appreciate the pictures she sent during her babysitting stay to reassure me that everyone was happy and hanging out.

Safety, trust & environment
I've had enough leash/collar/crafty dog escapes in my years to ensure fences are secure before I let dogs out, collars are always on (especially with flight risk dogs), and I prefer walking them on a martingale or harness that they cannot slip out of.

Information Cammie T. would like to know about your pet
If there is any training cues or behaviors to watch for and how you would like them managed. I have experience using pinch collars, e-collars, and basically every other walking device on the market.
A typical day
Parks are usually my favorite place to go, I often run with my dogs, play fetch, go to the river,or hike. If you dog is able to run off leash, make sure to let me know any cues they know or situations where there recall has not been solid. Generally I don't run dogs off leash unless I'm very comfortable that they have iron clad recall training.

Availability
I work 4-5 days a week at a dog rescue but usually work from home 2 of the days. My boy gets an hour walk every morning and fetch after work. Cash and I are up at 7 everyday and walk in the morning as well as get some training in. I generally will be away from 12pm to 6pm on my work days. Once home it's dinner, wait an hour to digest, and then fetch. Days off are a bit more open for adventures to the river or hiking.
