A non-kennel dog sitting experience

Pet care experience

We like to think a stay at our home is a bit more of a boutique hotel experience for you family pet compared to the other Rover sitters in our region. For that reason you will find we do charge a bit more than others in the area, but if you find value in a higher quality experience, where your dog will share the space with only 1 or 2 other dogs, we encourage you to reach out to us about a stay at our home. Our Guarantee: # 1 You will be given updates each day on your dogs activities. Walks, play time in the yard, funny things they do, and meal times are all documented and sent to you. No need to respond if you don’t want to. Often times we understand you are likely on vacation yourself while your dog is staying with us. We just want you to know your pup is enjoying themselves, making friends, and being well taken care of. #2 We do not care for more than two overnight (1-2 day care) dogs at a time. This allows for more personalized attention from us and minimizes risks of spreading of ticks, fleas, and other discomforts commonly spread in kennel like situations. #3 No bad habits!!! Because we only care for a limited amount of pets we are able to make sure your family pet doesn’t pick up any bad habits while their here. If your dog isn’t allowed on the couch, or has been taught to sit before dinner, we will maintain those habits while your away. On the other hand if evening time on the couch with the puppies is your thing, then it’s ours too!! We want your dog to feel just as loved and part of the family here as they do in your own home. We have a 6ft fenced back yard with three separate areas for play, naps, and meals and an additional family room indoors the dogs have full access to. There are beds, toys, plenty of open space for rough housing in both the inside and outside portion of the dog area. We work from home so your pets will never be alone and always monitored. We are experienced with med administration, senior dogs, and fully vaccinated puppies. We have a park nearby that we walk our dogs to each day and we would love your dog/s to join if you’d like. Nights are spent inside with the heater/AC allowing for a pleasant evening. We can accommodate early (thinking about you first responders and RN’s!!!) or late pickups and drop offs and would be happy to schedule a meet and greet at our home in advance of your boarding date. I’m most cases we prefer a meet and greet to confirm both us and your pet are a good fit for each other. The fenced back yard with three separately fenced sections allows for separation if needed but still allowing for plenty of space. We can accommodate crate trained or non-crate trained dogs equally and have separate areas inside the house as well for sleep.

Cameron and Amanda took great care of Emmy while I was on a work trip to Reno. Their dog Mitchell is a total sweetheart and their home is clean and set up well for hosting pups. My dog is a little big introverted so I appreciate that they don't take on too many dogs at once. Communication was prompt and friendly, would definitely recommend them!

Cameron and Amanda are great people. We are a repeat client. If my dog could talk, I know he would tell me he loves staying at their house. Thank you for providing a safe space for my old man.

Amanda was very welcoming and answered all our questions. First day of day care today went well, she came home a tired dog and had fun making news friends.

If you’re dog is a bit of an escape artist please let us know in advance and we can walk the yard looking for possible escape routes. (Spoiler alert- there are none.)We have NEVER had a dog get out of the yard before and we have some pretty adventurous regulars. Please note, there is also a chicken coop on property but the chickens are secured inside and are not bothered by even the most interested of dogs. Huskies, hunting dogs, coyotes, and hawks have all taken a shot at it. None have succeeded.

Please let us know if your fur baby has any special needs or is on any medication. We can accommodate almost anything. If you are still in-sure about your dog staying with us, please read our reviews and look at our amount of repeat customers. In fact, due to our limited availability 75% of our customer base is made up of repeat customers. We look forward to you and your pup being one of them

A typical day

We live by a park with a small lake. I like to take an afternoon break with my furry companions up to the lake to smell the grass and listen to the ducks and geese. It’s a short walk but offers lots of items to smell along the way. Please let us know if your dogs are geese chasers or not trained on leash. Wake are not mandatory and your pup will get all the exercise he/she needs around the house.
