Tail Waggin' Manor Open NOW!!!

Pet care experience

Welcome to the Tail Waggin' Manor, aka your dog's home away from home while you're gone. There is nothing worse than leaving your best friend behind, even if it's only for one night. But you can rest easy knowing your pooch will be pampered, loved on, exercised, and will be so ready to see you when you come home! The full time residents of the Tail Waggin' Manor include Camden (the mama), Luis (the dad), Knox (furbaby #1), and Willow (furbaby #2). Camden and Luis both work full-time, but they have a great friend that comes to play with the puppies and let them out to potty every day around lunch time! Camden leaves at 9 in the morning (boo!) and Luis is home by 5 in the evening (yay!). Evenings and weekends are Knox and Willow's favorite because their parents play with them for hours! Being a dog mom myself, I know how nerve wracking it can be to try and find the perfect dog sitter to care after your babies. There are so many qualifications to check off a list that it almost seems impossible to find what you're looking for. However, I hope that I can come as close to your wants as possible. Nothing in our house is off limits unless you say it is. Dogs will have access to all three floors of our house, so they can play with the pack or find a quiet spot to take a nap. We have a fenced in backyard that dogs are able to use to go potty and romp around to burn some energy. We always allow dogs to snuggle up on the couch, or if they prefer they can sprawl out on the floor. We have a king sized bed that fits more dogs than you'd think. If your pooch likes to cuddle up, they can hop up into the bed for a good night's rest. If they prefer the couch or a dog bed, they are welcome to that, too! We are here to make sure your dog feels safe, secure, and at a home away from home. Meals can sometimes be hard for doggies that are thrown out of their normal routine. If you have a picky eater (we have 2), we have plenty of tricks up our sleeve. We can feed them by hand, add some wet food to entice them, or bake some chicken and rice to throw on top. If your dog has specialty dietary needs please let me know and I am happy to accommodate. If you prefer that your dog eats home cooked meals while you're away, we are happy to do that as well. If your dog has behavioral issues, please let us know up front so we know what to look out for while they are staying with us. However, having two puppies at once, I can confidently say your dog will not do anything our dogs haven't done many times prior. We are not worried about accidents (they can be cleaned), chewing (their attention can be redirected), or leash pulling (unless your dog is 60+ pounds). Behaviors that we will not tolerate include excessive barking, aggressiveness, or being territorial over toys. We have plenty of chew toys, but feel free to bring a couple from home if you think that will help your dog feel more secure in their new surroundings. Include a blanket or shirt with your scent on it if you'd like. If your dog is not destructive and does not have accidents, they can be left in our house while we are at work to roam free. However, if either or both of those behaviors are something your dog tends to do, we do request that they are crate trained. They will not be in crates for longer than 4 hours at a time, and they will ONLY be crated while we are at work. When we are home, our dogs don't even remember what their crates are. We live in a nice, large neighborhood that has sidewalks that we use for long walks every night after dinner. My husband takes Willow for a run every morning, so if your dog is a runner he can accommodate that as well. On weekends, we always find fun places to walk or hike. Some of our favorites are Eno State Park, Lake Johnson, and Umstead Park. If you are okay with it, we'd love to take your doggy on the adventure. If you prefer that your dog stay home, we will make arrangements for that as well. We can administer medication for any need at any time upon request. Our Knox is our million-dollar-dog, so we are well versed in the medication world. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me. I am happy to address anything listed, or anything I may have missed that you're looking for. If there is anything I can do to make your dog's stay more comfortable, I am happy to do it. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby!

Camden is WONDERFUL!! We could not have been happier! Our trip's schedule kept changing and she was incredibly flexible and helpful. Benny had so much fun with her pups and came home exhausted from all the playing! She sent pictures every night and told us about the day. We will definitely be using Camden again!

As much as I'd like to keep Camden and her husband a secret, it wouldn't be fair to you or your dog(s)! I've never felt more comfortable leaving my dog with complete strangers. Camden was extremely accommodating in relation to availability and pick up/droff off times. It was also extremely clear that she LOVES dogs and has been caring for them for some time now. My yorkie has extreme separation anxiety, doesn't typically like new people/dogs and doesn't eat while I'm gone so I am always very hesitant to leave town without him (he's also not the best behaved while I'm gone). After meeting Camden, I knew Scoot was going to be alright. She offered to boil chicken and add it to Scoot's food incase he wouldn't eat and even had a dog walker come and let him out during the day! She was great about sending evening texts and pictures with updates on how Scoot was doing (she offered to send more or less, depending on my liking). On his last day with Camden, she took him for a walk around Jordan Lake and was kind enough to pick him up and walk when he was too tired to finish the walk. :) I have always had a little anxiety about leaving town without Scoot, now that I've found Camden and her husband I'll be going on WAY more vacations!

I recommend taking your fur baby to Camden if you are looking for a sitter. Cody was loved like he was her own. Even know she has a fenced in yard, they took him to the dog park and lots walks. She truly loves dogs ... I'm glad we booked with her
