Pet care experience
Howdy! Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I have been doing Rover for about 5ish years now and grew up with dogs (and some cats) so I have a special love for animals. I love learning the different personalities of each animal and their little quirks; our pets truly make life better! I am not a professional dog trainer; I have taken my own dog to training classes and have watched/read training tutorials. With that being said I can still read a dog's behavior based on their body language pretty well, but I do not train dogs other than my own. I live in a pretty quiet neighborhood with my husband and our puppy Yenn. We have a spacious, fenced backyard for plenty of running around! While your dog stays with our family you can expect daily updates with pictures and plenty of fun outdoor activities. **I always do meet and greets to ensure your dog is comfortable with me, my husband, and our dog and that we are comfortable with you and your dog. If you’re unsure about your dog's behavior while you’re away or if your dog has never been boarded/stayed with someone with another dog I really need to know this; I will suggest doing a paid stay before the requested dates for either a night or two depending on how the meet and greet goes**
Reviews
We are always so happy when Calyne cares for Ollie!
Sat for our pets again over a Christmas trip! Took great care of our house, our two cats, and our really big dog! She took our dog for great walks and made sure our cats got their meds. Looking forward to having her watch our pets again soon!
Ollie loved Calyne. But more importantly she had the right touch with him to get him to listen to her in spite of how excited he was to have a new friend. I’m so grateful for her loving care of Ollie!
Calyne is so wonderful and helped ease my mind while I was away

Information Calyne S. would like to know about your pet
Please read the following below carefully and answer any of the following in your request if not already stated in your pet's profile. Questions Has your dog ever been boarded/stayed at another home with other dogs? Does your dog have any behavioral issues or special quirks? Ex: destructive chewing, peeing/marking, excessive barking Does your dog behave differently when they're away from you or the home? Do they have separation anxiety? *It is totally normal for dogs to have some anxiety the first night or two; Depending on the severity, I recommend your dog gets dropped off as early as possible the day of the book so they have time to acclimate to the environment and can settle in better once bedtime rolls around. If your dog has bad separation anxiety I cannot accept the booking.* Is your dog crate trained? *This means your dog is totally fine with being in the crate for at least a couple of hours without barking, whining, or the worry about accidentally harming themselves. While I do Rover full-time, I may have to leave for errands or to do other check-ins; I try to not be gone longer than an hour and a half.* Pet Care If you have not already, please fill out your pet's profile with as much care info as this really helps me to refer back to it. Info such as: Specific feeding times; amount of food, medication(s) Does your dog get food aggressive? Allergies or any treats they can or cannot have Walking/exercise - does your dog pull? I will not be able to walk your dog during their stay if they pull excessively to the point where it disrupts the walking experience. I am not a professional dog trainer and only know some tips and tricks to train my own dog. I have a huge backyard with sticks and some outside dog toys to throw for exercise/fun if walks do not work.
A typical day
Walk around the neighborhood depending on leash manners, or perhaps a trip to some trails. I have a fenced-in backyard for lots of running and ball tossing! I will also use any dog/cat toys you have and keep your furry friend entertained. I have a young dog who is really good at getting other dogs to play and come out of their shell.

Availability
I work at Austin Community College and go to school part time. For check-ins and dog walking I am available any time on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Mondays and Wednesdays I am available 7am to 10am and then after 6pm; Thursdays I am available 7am to 10am and after 4pm. For boarding, I am home most of the day during the week and occasionally have check-ins at the same time during a boarding- this is where I would ask if your dog is crate trained or can be left alone for at least an hour to an hour and a half.
