Hi! My name is Callie and I am a vet school student and animal lover. I am very passionate about all species of animals! I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, chickens, etc. I have also taken care of livestock, rodents, reptiles, and fish on previous pet sitting jobs. I am very experienced with animals recovering from surgery and those with a need for medication. I have taken care of many animals with varying needs and abilities - whether your pet is the most hyper or if they like to take it easy, I will adjust to their needs. I have worked as a veterinary assistant, an animal care intern at the Oakland Zoo, and a volunteer surgical assistant at an animal shelter. In all of these capacities, I prioritized the happiness and health of animals, and I can't wait to do the same for your pet! I would love to take care of your animals, whatever their needs may be! :) My schedule can be adjusted to fit your pet’s needs! My day consists of either learning about taking care of animals in my classes or actually taking care of them - whether they are my own pets or yours! My pets are my family. I am always looking out for ways I can make your pets feel more comfortable while you are away. I know from my own experience with my pets that separation can be hard for us and for them! It’s important to know your pet is being cared for with compassion and with respect for your regular routine. I will always prioritize the health and safety of your animal as if they were my own. Being a veterinary student, I am always searching for potential risks and thinking of ways to eliminate them.
