Pet care experience
My dog Lucy and I love to play. We go for 30-minute walks (at least) every day, run around and play fetch in the backyard, and play tug of war with her toys throughout the day. We would love for your pet to join us! When I was little, I was the hired pet sitter in the neighborhood, plus I also had my own pets growing up. As an adult, I've had my own pets and have been hired to pet-sit for several friends' dogs and cats, both short- and long-term gigs, over the years. I have experience administering oral medication to both dogs and cats and some dog grooming experience (although grooming is not my passion, ha).

Callie H. would be THE BEST pet sitter and dog walker ever to entrust to your pet's care! She has a loving and compassionate heart and is exceptionally good with animals. She and her husband have rescued two dogs, one of which was abandoned at a wildlife refuge and was near death. She rehabbed him, including a costly, laborious, and time-consuming heart worm recovery process. She then found him a great forever home with a caring family. The other rescue is living her best life with Callie H. and her husband, getting lots of one-on-one time, walks, hugs and affirmation. I highly recommend Callie H. for this position. You will find no one better qualified, more responsible or more loving!
Callie loves her dog Lucy and treats Lucy exceptionally well! She has looked after my dog before and pays attention to detail when it comes to baby-proofing play areas, feeding time, and letting him out. I definitely trust Callie with any doggo.

We have a fenced-in backyard (tall wooden fence) that is the size of an additional lot. The yard has a few shade trees and is mostly open grass. We have several toys to play with, both in the backyard and inside, including a water sprinkler. Your dog will not be left unattended in my care unless I need to run an errand briefly and they are secured according to your instructions (crated, etc.) We have a large dog crate your dog can use if you'd like so you don't have to bring yours back and forth. There are several safe places to go for walks nearby with lots of grassy areas.

What are some of the typical ways your pet communicates with you? What is your pet's diet? Does your dog counter surf and/or try to get into human food in the kitchen? What are some of your pets' favorite ways to play? Is your pet ever aggressive? In what situations? Does your dog stay in your home on their own for any period of time, and/or do you crate them during this time? What commands does your dog know (sit, etc.)? Has your dog stayed with a dog sitter before? How did these experiences go? What can make your pet nervous or scared? What is your favorite thing about your pet?
A typical day
We love walking around the MUW campus and on the Riverwalk. We also love walking at the Lock & Dam (if your dog is good with car rides). I just signed up for a six-week Beginner Obedience training class with my dog, starting July 15, and have requested dog first aid and CPR training as well.
