Pet care experience
I am a recent Master’s graduate from DePaul University who has a ton of free time this summer! I have a huge heart for animals in general, but specifically dogs. I’ve had dogs all of my life, so I struggle with being in an apartment without one. My family had two senior dachshunds growing up, so I have that experience, but my sister now has an amazing mini pit bull who’s the complete opposite of them—a bundle of energy! I really love all types of dogs. Whatever your pet enjoys, I will match their energy, whether that’s playing with toys or chilling on the couch all day. I will make sure they get endless cuddles, food, play, and walks. I work part-time in Lakeview, but other than that my schedule is open for your dog. I would love to spoil your loved one but will also provide a structured environment if that’s what they need. In regards to dog walking, most of my experience comes from dogs 30 lbs or less. Callie is amazing! It was the first time for us leaving our baby with someone outside of family and we couldn’t have found a better person! Callie took incredibly good care of Ambien, was attentive of all of his needs and texted us with pics/updates. She truly treated him like her own dog. She was also very accommodating with giving medications, drop off/pick up. I can’t say enough good things about Callie and I can’t recommend her enough! We will absolutely reach out to her next time we need some help taking care of our good boy.
Callie hosted my bundle of joy for a couple of days, and she was warm loving and provided my little fellow with a comfortable home environment. My dog suffers from separation anxiety and can be yappy and nervous, it's the nature of his breed, but Callie did a good job of tolerating and calming him. I so appreciated the kind nature and attention she extending my dog. I would recommend her to board your four legged loved ones.
Callie is a very responsible person with a big heart. She has cared for our pets, Lucy and Raymond, and is very good at it! Once she knows their schedules, she has been able to feed them on time, let them in and out of the house with leashes, and takes time to make sure they are happy and comfortable in the home. She is an honorable and dependable person who takes her jobs seriously, works well with all kinds of people, and cares about the quality of her work. Her schedules are demanding, but she always has time to care for others. Having her as a pet sitter would be a blessing!

I care for pets in a way that reflects your style already. For example, if you crate your dog every night or have specific rules for them, I will keep your parenting style consistent. If you are more relaxed with your pet and they like to sleep in your bed, etc., I am comfortable with that, too. It really just depends on what you and your pet are used to and I will do my best to be consistent!

A typical day
I love taking walks and run occasional errands, so I’d be happy to take your pet with me. I love to walk and sit by the lakefront. If you have a yard, I’m happy to play outside with them, otherwise we’ll have a blast playing together in the house.

My part-time work shifts do not exceed 6 hours but likely are around 4-5 hours, so I wouldn’t be away for too long if that’s an issue!
