Originally from South Africa, I’m an enthusiastic animal lover and a 4th year vet student! I live in a beautifully restored Victorian house with my friendly ragdoll cat, Cyrus, and my newly rescued border collie mix, Thula! (Hence, essential that your dog is friendly towards other animals if staying with me!) I have grown up with animals my whole life, including reptiles, rhodents, cats and dogs thus, I am very comfortable with animals of all sizes! Your fur-child will be treated as part of the family - loads of cuddles, sleeping on the bed, treats, walks etc. I take my active dog on many walks a day and we have recently started going to the Upton Dog park which she LOVES... so I could bring your dog along too! I am available for daily check ins for feline friends for water changes, feeding, medication administration, litter box cleanings and playtime! Cats are also welcome to stay over to enjoy a holiday of their own! References available, as well as meeting me in person for reassurance. ( I know leaving your pets with a stranger can be daunting! ) Photo updates sent daily of your fur babies!

Callan was amazing. She took very good care of the girls and sent lots of pictures. She not only spoiled them with home cooked goods but she also had to deal with a skunk. Both dogs were skunked. She went above and beyond to clean them and the house. We are so lucky she was there and had a super positive attitude.
My girl Lily had such a fun time with Callan. She was lovely at helping out last minute and great to deal with. I got the cutest updates and was glad to find such an awesome sitter and walker that I’ll be recommending to my friends and family!
Callan was a great pet sitter for my high energy boxer mix. I got pics sent frequently and he always needed treats to get him to leave her after visiting. She is very reliable and had great advice for his diet. Keith and I were both sad to see her move away from NS but know she will be an awesome vet.

A typical day
I love to stimulate pets mentally and physically! As a vet student, animal care including enrichment plays a big part in ensuring pets live their best lives! I love to spend time outdoors! I have numerous puzzles for Thula and Cyrus, as mental stimulation is just as important as physical!

Currently my school schedule is a bit unknown as each rotation throughout the year will have different demands! I won’t be able to do check in’s during school hours, as I’ll be using my lunch break to check on my own fur babies!
