Animals are my passion & happiness

Pet care experience

I’ve been trained and experienced in caring for cats and dogs. I’ve been in charge of giving daily medications/injections, special diets, love and attention, restraints for medical emergencies, and much more in depth care for animals ranging from 5lbs to 190lbs! I love them all the same, big or small. I’ve always had a love and drive to care for and work with animals and I hope to connect with each pet I encounter.

Calista watched my German shepherd puppy several times when I needed a sitter. She was always so sweet with her and even sent me several pictures while she was in her care. I feel like any time I need someone to watch after Dakota my first pick is Calista!

Calista is extremely reliable and responsible! Our two dogs love her so very much, they are so happy every time they get to see her! She is so very good to them! We know if we’re going out of town Calista will take great care of our babies. I would recommend Calista for any animal sitting needs!

Calista has to be one of the best when it comes to animals. She has always been an "animals first" type of person and will always make sure they get exactly what they need. I wouldn't trust anyone more, whether it's big or small dogs, she can handle and provide.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced in yard but I also use a line for my youngest pup because she is an escape artist. I crate both my dogs when no one is home so that they are safe with a few busy kongs. Both my beagles are destroyers and eaters when they’re alone, so I don’t trust them out alone for more than a half hour or so. I dog sit a family’s German shepherd and she is left out with no problems, and even watched the tv! I am more than willing to crate or non crate your pet, which ever you prefer. I am also comfortable walking pets to potty or watching them go out loose in the backyard. I used to walk 6+ dogs at once with some of them being 100+ lbs so I am quite experienced in the dog walking world.

Information Calista L. would like to know about your pet

I love and accept all breeds and animals. I’m not timid when it comes to bigger or more assertive dogs. Before caring for your dog, it’s important to know of any behavioral issues, if any, such as food aggression, other animal or people aggression, as well as cute facts about your pet so I can connect with them the best. Do they have potty preferences, allergies, ex ale artist tendencies, crate or no crate preferences?

A typical day

Depending on what you’d prefer, I could walk your dog(s) around your neighborhood, take them to the rail trail or the state park, or even just play ball or tug. I love taking dogs out somewhere new to give them all new scents to sniff and explore. Currently, I’ve been having fun exploring my new neighborhood with my pups, having just moved into a new home about a year ago.

I’m currently going to school full time along with mobile food delivery service work. I would love to be able to gain enough clients to replace delivery driving.
