Cats Dogs Fur....gotta love ‘em

Pet care experience

Traveling? Date night? Business Trip? Family Emergency? Got pet babies? Need a pet or house sitter? No worries, I have you covered for all of those. Im Kennedy. I’m 53 and have had pets all of my life. If a bird fell out of the nest, I nurtured it until it was able to fly on its own. Ive volunteered at my local Humane society and even adopted a pet. I’ve rescued many dogs and cats and cotton tailed baby bunnies too. I was raised around livestock, chickens, cattle, horses, sheep, hogs, etc. I have had Dobermans and Blue heelers and family members with Pit Bulls. All were excellent loving dogs. I am also a cat lover. I have three. So from rambunctious to timid, anxious, to calm and or elderly... I assure you I will give your pet great attention, love, affection, brushing or massages if need be. My last pet sitting job was taking care of two elderly horses for a co-worker. These horses are her dear dear babies. Tango is almost a 40 year old big gentleman. However, he needed special care as to needing medicines, a special feed mix blended and water added to his feed. It took him an hour to eat and I had to keep the two horses separated as the other ate faster. I met with my co worker several times a week over a three week period to acquaint myself with her horses, their routine, and their special care and needs, including spraying down with fly spray. Everything went very well and I sent video and photos to reassure her that her babies were doing fine and were okay, which she deeply appreciated. I’m even open for game nights, if you’re coming into town for a game and need to leave your beloved fur baby for a few hours while going to a live game event or a date night out. Lastly, I’ll add, when I volunteered at the Humane society, me and my family had recently lost our red Doberman. I had called everywhere and searched rescues trying to find a Doberman to adopt. Sadly, there were not any that would match my families needs. There was a blue heeled Doberman mix at the humane society and my children and I would walk her when there. She was very immaculate and scared. Over a 3 week period of interacting with her, the staff began begging me to adopt her. They explained that she will not eat. They feared she would die. She was literally a walking skeleton with fur. It was very sad. They went on to explain that she sat with her rear to the door. She acknowledged no one. She didn’t even walk for anyone else. However, they noticed when we came, she pepped up and got up. I did not know at the time she was not eating at all. They knew I was looking to adopt a full blooded Doberman but begged me to save the life of a mixed breed. So, that day, we adopted “Daisey Mae”. She would not eat unless I spoon fed her. After 6 months of spoon feeding and lots of nurturing, Daisey became one of my favorite beloved pets in my life. She lived for 14 more years. She was a beautiful dog with a beautiful temperament.

A typical day

Belly rubs, brushing, tug of war, a bath, water play, toys, or just a good massage and cuddles. Whatever you tell me your dog loves.... even if you want to FaceTime and talk to your dog..... It’s about your pet being content, safe , comfortable and happy.
