Pet care experience
From a young age, I've been taking care of dogs and cats whether it be my own, my neighbors, or my friends and family's. I've personally had 4 cats throughout my lifetime, which I have regularly fed, played with, and maintained a clean litter box. In addition, I've had my own dog for roughly 8 years, which has allowed me to gain first hand experience regarding taking care of a dog -- whether it be feeding him the proper portions, picking up after him after his regular bathroom breaks, ensuring to play and walk him everyday in order to maintain an active lifestyle, brushing him, clipping his nails, and much more! Don't forget the well earned treats after a hard day! I have also stayed at friend's/family member's houses in order to dog sit whilst they were on vacation. Also, with some of my pets growing old, I've become familiar with administering various medications that were prescribed by the vet. With these various skills and my unconditional love for pets, I would be the perfect match for your little bundle of joy! I truly believe that pets have an incomparable bond with their owners, and they bring nothing but positivity when it comes to the mental health of said owners. In order to guarantee your own happiness, I will treat your pet with the upmost comfort and professionalism to make sure they're ready to cheer you up!

We contacted Rover prior to our trip abroad and selected Caleb, whose perfect reviews and proximity to our house made him an ideal choice for our dog Oliver. After meeting Caleb, we felt absolutely sure that he will be great. And he was better than great! Oliver seemed equally thrilled with him and we’re sure he will miss Caleb, now that the three weeks are over. Caleb is so great with my 7 month old puppy! He took time to get to know her and where her training is at and and she loved her time with him. Caleb was great at answering, is very friendly and even took some adorable pictures of my pup during their walk. I will definitely book with Caleb again :)

When it comes to the safety of your pet, I will first and foremost follow all possible guidelines given to me by the owner. For a basic apartment, it is quite spacious. Since I live in an apartment building, I may not have a fancy yard, but I have easy access to the outdoors, and there are multiple parks nearby through which I could walk and/or play with your dog. I will always follow the owner's recommended portions when it comes to food, and your dog will have 24/7 access to portable water. I'm sure your pets have their own precious toys, but I also have access to my own toys that your pet could explore and have fun with! Other than my odd class or workout, I should almost never be away from home for more than 2-3 hours at a time, allowing for bathroom breaks often enough. I also know how to check for fleas and ticks, as well as other intruders who could be hurting your pet! I love to play and cuddle with animals, which will make sure they enjoy their stay. I also love with my lovely girlfriend who might love pets even more than I do, and she will often be around incase of any emergencies, or to help and double the love that your pets will receive!

To keep your dog stimulated and happy, there are plenty of activities I love to partake in. Your dog can explore various new smells around the neighborhood and enjoy some fetch and running around at the park! I also have some toys your pet could try out!

Availability
I'm currently studying Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, and looking for a way to make some money during my studies. During the summer, I have no classes, which would allow me to take care of your pet any day of the week! However, in September, classes will be starting back up and I will sometimes have to leave the house for an hour or two to attend class. Other than that, the only thing keeping me away from your pets is the gym, which I spend roughly one to two hours at, roughly 4-5 days per week. In other words, my schedule is quite flexible at the moment other than my fitness hobby and my classes (starting in September).
