Pet care experience
Dogs want to be friendly and make connections with other people and dogs. Getting down on their level and tussling a bit or allowing the inevitable licks to my face tend to form a camaraderie quickly. When walking, I bring water with me and allow sniff or 'marking' breaks as they explore. I fostered small and medium dogs for a few years and do my best to help them enjoy a day by conversing with them and patiently enforcing good habits. I even became a refuge for one foster who had PTSD during thunderstorms. I've some experience applying topical medications and administering pills should that be necessary. Befriending dogs and helping them enjoy life as much as I do always makes for a day well lived! If you'll have me, I look forward to meeting a furry part of your family!

Cale has been wonderful to work with! We met him and introduced him to our 2 furbabies (2 cats) a few weeks ago before we went to visit family up north for 2 weeks. He checked on them several times for us during the two weeks, each time ensuring to give pets to both cats, even going so far as to get one of them out of hiding under the bed! He is thorough, bringing in our packages, changing the litter, and ensuring the automatic feeder and water dispenser are full and working. His pictures and stories of how the cats interact with him each time he is there make us smile and laugh. So glad we found Cale to check in on our kitties while we are away — we will definitely be rebooking!

Cale did a great job taking care of our cats. He sent detailed reports and went above and beyond when one of them hid under the bed to ensure they were taken care of.
All I can say is wow. I’ve been using Rover for several years and have met dozens of sitters and as a five-star sitter myself, I can truly say without a doubt that Cale is hands down, the most incredible sitter I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I was left in a pinch thousands of miles away and had to make last minute arrangements. Cale responded to my request within minutes, making sure to gather all the information needed to make Teddy’s visit as wonderful as possible. During each visit, Cale did an outstanding job. Sending photos, detailed updates and really going above and beyond which truly showed the passion and care he has for pets and their owners. He didn’t just make sure Teddy was fed and pooped, but he provided so much extra care, love and attention that I’m sure Teddy will miss Cale more than he does his own mom, lol! He also took care of things around the house for me and was so accommodating and flexible when we had some mishaps with an address change. He was willing to make the extra drive without any hesitation and all I can say is Cale is truly the gold standard of what Rover should be. Thank you so much and I highly recommend Cale to any and everyone.
