Dogs make me happy!
Pet care experience
My biggest thing about taking care of a dog is making sure they feel peaceful, comfortable, and at home. Even if they are so excited, bouncing off the walls, ready to play, I want them to know that I am there to keep them safe, first and foremost. I love playing with dogs, tug of war, catch, hide and seek, wrestling, basically anything that gets their energy out!! Short-leash walks are a must, because even city dogs need time outdoors, and the city can be dangerous. If the owner permits, I like to take pups to the dog-park frequently, creating a more full walk time and better relationships with other dogs. My early mornings and nights are free and on the weekends, I normally take afternoons off but will do ASAP walks when I can!

I don't have any breed preferences. I do like to know if they are a rescue. I like to take special interest and care of newly adopted rescues. I'd like to know if they have a habit of nipping or barking at other dogs/people during walks. Their potty training status is a must know, because if they pee or poop in the house it could be because of nerves. What they're allowed to eat, any allergies, and which toy is their favorite.
A typical day
As all dog owners know, routine is necessary for a healthy dog! Daily walks at the same time are great because if they know their route they feel confident in where they are and where they are going. That means less anxiety for them and more fun for everyone! However, I also believe that straying a little bit from the path and exploring new things is necessary for their sensory growth! They love it and it's exciting for them to sniff all the new smells and take in new things. I'm new to Long Island City but I'm excited and more than happy to go to dog parks in the area and explore all the beautiful neighborhoods with any pup.
