Pet care experience
I’m currently applying to veterinary school and I have years of experience working at a vet clinic, including as a veterinary assistant. I’ve had the experience of working with many different pets with varying needs and temperaments. I’m happy to care for pets of all ages! I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty or run around in the backyard with pets- whatever it takes to suit their needs!

Caitlynn stayed with our two dogs over spring break and did a great job with them! I could tell she was experienced with dogs when she met our lab who jumped up on her (ugh) and our shepherd mix who is nervous around new people. She handled them both with ease and they really seemed to like her. She was respectful and followed all of our directions, including medications for 1 of our dogs. The dogs were relaxed, happy and healthy when we returned, which was reassuring, and our house was just as clean if not cleaner than when we left!
Caitlynn is a compassionate and knowledgeable pet caregiver. She is responsible and detail oriented. She has worked with pets of all sizes and temperaments. She is an aspiring vet student with considerable animal experience, both in and out of the clinic, so you’ll feel comfortable knowing she has your pet’s best interest at heart!

I have a large side/backyard for dogs to run around and play in, I don’t have any other pets in the home, and live with four female roommates who all love dogs! I have enough space for a crate if they’re crate-trained or for their beds if they have one.

A typical day
There’s a park right next to my house and I’ll be sure to let them explore the neighborhood. I’ll add enrichment to their day by playing with them and brushing them (if they tolerate it), and I’ll be sure to give them all the cuddles.

Availability
I’m currently a student at Michigan State and don’t need to be on campus much this semester. I love to go for long walks and love having a pet by my side while I lounge on the couch or do homework (I’m definitely missing my dog back home). Tuesday’s and Thursday’s are the only days I’d have to be away from home for a 3 hour stretch, while any other day I’d only need to be gone for about an hour for class. I’m able to have pets stay overnight at my house or stay the night at your house on Friday’s, Saturday’s, or Sunday’s.
