Pet care experience
**I am fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as of April 23, 2021** Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my, "About me." My name is Caitlyn and I am a 22 year old recent college graduate and a lifelong pet owner. I work for a company that provides services for individuals with disabilities most of the time, but heard about Rover and thought loving on people's animals would be a great way of making a couple of extra bucks while getting to pet and hang out with animals. I've owned cats, dogs, and other random critters all of my life. I currently have two kitties of my own names Walter and Moshi who I love very much. Some pets I've had and/or am more than comfortable caring for as well are fish, snakes, geckos and other reptiles, hedgehogs, dogs, cats, chickens, etc. I also have experience administering medications to animals as well as injections like subcutaneous fluid or insulin. I’m also very comfortable working with pets who may be less friendly or a little more patience than most. If you have multiple pets or other house stuff needed, or my price isn't working for you, please let me know because maybe we can figure something out! Thanks so much again and I look forward to speaking with you soon. One of the things I’m most proud of is how much I care about and for my own animals. I’ve always been so empathetic and compassionate towards animals since I was little. I definitely spoil and treat my pets as royalty 😂 even when they are being little stinkers haha. I know when I have people take care of my pets, I want them to treat them as their own so that is what I strive to do for my Rover doggy and kitty clients! I love taking and sending pictures for pet parents too so they can see their baby while they are away! One of my pets I have right now also has special needs so I understand pet parents with senior or special needs animals that need extra care and how hard it is to not only leave them, but leave them with someone you can trust and is confident they are able to handle whatever needs your pet may have. If you have senior or special needs animals, I’m your gal!

I always offer to do meet and greets before bookings if there is time to. I think it’s a great way for pet owners to meet the sitter and the sitter to meet the pets, it just helps everyone be more comfortable! I know I would want to meet the person caring for my own pets before they do. Also it’s helpful for me to see exactly where everything is and everything you need me to do. I also provide photos with every visit because I think it just helps pet parents feel a little better about leaving their babies for a bit and with someone new. And I mean, who doesn’t like pictures of their pets? Haha. I always treat pets like they are my own and want them to feel as comfortable as possible! I know it can often be stressful being alone with a stranger, and your pet’s safety and comfortability are my top priorities!

If your animals have any behavioral concerns I’d love to have a heads up. I have no issues watching pets with behavioral problems or other things such as anxiety or special needs of any kind. I have plenty of experience with that having animals and ones with special needs myself and behavioral concerns so I understand the importance finding a pet sitter who is comfortable and patient to handle whatever comes their way.
A typical day
I love doing fun activities with dogs and animals I’m watching. Making them feel special at least a little extra and spoiled while their humans are away I think is important because it’s like a vacation for the pets too! No one wants to see their human mama or dad gone so having a pet sitter who goals the extra mile to make sure your animals feels special and loved is something I think is very important. I also have a stroller for my kitty I use to take him on walks so if any tiny pets who maybe usually wouldn’t go on walks or are older and aren’t able to and would like to, I’d love to take them in it! I also have a secured pet tent so animals can have supervised outside time and have more independence.

I work part time so whenever I am free is my availability for pet sitting! Please just reach out with any dates you are hoping to book and I’ll absolutely see if it’s something I'm able to do! I also honestly love last minute bookings and a lot often work for me, so don’t be shy with short notice pet sitting or dog walking requests!
