Pet care experience
New to Philly but not new to pup care! Animal lover and 24/7/365 dog mom with a precocious shih tzu poodle mix at home. Prior to the pandemic I was a ‘canine companion’ at the Animal Rescue League of Boston. At the ARL I was trained to handled all types of dogs and reward/reinforce good behavior. We were also trained on how to walk and handle dogs that may not have the best behaviors (at least at the moment!). I’ve been dog walking and sitting friend’s dogs for what seems like forever and my pup Maxie gets along with all dogs. So I’ve had a lot of experience managing multiple puppets alongside Maxie. Can’t wait to meet you floof!

Caitlyn took such wonderful care of my little 15 month old love bug. Zola did not want to leave when it was time to go home! I loved seeing all the pictures of the fun that Zola had with Caitlyn and Maxine :) Will definitely use Caitlyn as a dog sitter again.

Caitlyn is wonderful! She and our dog Watson got along perfectly ever since their first meeting - it's clear she loves dogs and took such excellent care of Watson while we were out of town. Caitlyn is responsive and reliable and also has a great sense of humor with her daily updates! Will DEFINITELY book Caitlyn again!
Enough good things cannot be said of Caitlyn and Maxine. I am transitioning jobs and finding new care for my dog has been very stressful. From the get go Caitlyn has been super helpful and accommodating. She has truly made this transition so much easier. I honestly cannot thank her enough. She is thorough and keeps you up to date about what your puppy is up to through the day. Moose came back to me at the end of the day super tired and happy. We cannot wait until we go back to play with Caitlyn next week and beyond!

Safety is always a number one concern! Having had training at a shelter, I am always aware of my surroundings on walks - no two dogs are alike and I take that very seriously. A phone call to a vet is never a hesitation either! There’s no substitute for safety. Crating is an option for dogs under 30 pounds at my house as well, for those boarding or staying the day.

Walking dogs in the city is not for the faint of heart, but I am used to dogs with many different personalities. Please ensure you let me know every quirk (the good and the bad! Maxine has both too!) and we will work together to make your pup happy while you are away or gone at work.
A typical day
A typical day is walks, and sniffing safaris! Maxine loves to explore new streets she’s never walked down and I think your pup would love that too. When it’s gloomy out we play fetch inside or cuddle on the couch.

Availability
As I work from home and have a dog myself I am up early and outside often getting active. We get out for a couple of long walks each day and then a few short bursts, as well. We also play a lot inside too. There are toy baskets in every room!
