Cert. Veterinary Assistant

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm Lavender (they/them/theirs). I am a former dog groomer, dog trainer, and certified Veterinary Assistant with 17 years of professional experience in working with pets and an inextinguishable love for animals. I am presently a stay at home mom with two loving senior puppers and two sweet senior kitties, of my own. With my services, your furbaby will get 100% of the love, care, and attention they deserve. ♡ I offer Drop-in Stays, Walks, Grooming, basic training, & pet advice. I love dogs and cats of all sizes, and breeds. I'm also well accustomed to caring for pets with various aggression issues.

Caitlin watched my beloved Yako when he was still socially awkward and a bit fearful of his brave new world. She was incredible with him. Because of her drop in visits I didn't have to worry about my tiny furry best friend while I was away for work for 12 hour shifts. She is amazing. :)

So thankful that my little pup got the attention and loved he deserved while I was at work overnight! Thank you to Caitlin who was willing to meet on short notice and work odd hours! My puppy was so happy this morning when I got home! You made all the difference!

Caitlin stopped by a total of 3 times between Monday morning and Tuesday Morning. Caitlin sent me pictures the first 2 visits and some details on how those went (she let me know how Stark did with her toddler and it was nice to know he did well& made a friend) i appreciated the pictures both in the house and at the park. She also sent me a picture from the baby monitor she set up once she was gone for the night. The next morning(&Final visit) I also got some details on how things went and she made sure he want crying/barking before she left. Thankyou for everything you did!

Caitlin let me know when she got there and when she left with a detailed rover card of what transpired & a picture. I loved having details and appreciated the attention to this visit and her checking in with me throughout. It was our first time using rover and everything went just fine with her:)

I check each client's home for potential hazards and do my best to notify owners when I see a safety risk. I'm a big believer in open communication and I like to keep my clients well informed.

Information Caitlin S. would like to know about your pet

Before I care for a pet, I prefer to know if they have any history of nipping, biting, aggression, allergies, illness, anxiety, triggers, and if they are spayed/neutered. This is so I can provide a safe and fun experience for everyone involved without too many surprises. I have no breed preferences and I am comfortable working with most pets, regardless of typical behavior. I do not do walks between 9am and 7pm on days when the weather is above 90 degrees for safety reasons.

A typical day

Dogs entrusted to my care will get to enjoy adventurous walks through less used pathways, rousing games of fetch or tug-of-war, thorough brushings, and ample tummy rubs!
