Sitting for Shepards to Shih Tzus!
Pet care experience
Due to my experience with both short and long term house sitting, I'm great at caring for all sorts of pets. Dogs are my favorite, but it is worth nothing I have experience caring for cats, chickens, goats, and even worms. I am an active animal lover who enjoys walking or running with dogs. I find that I connect with animals quickly and have respect for their routines and personalities. Growing up, I was always around animals. I am eager to get a dog of my own when the time is right. Right now, I am so thankful that so many owners trust me to care for their beloved pets! It’s a responsibility I do not take lightly. I am comfortable watching dogs of all sizes and personality types. When I lived in Minnesota, I frequently spent weeks sitting a 3-year-old German Shepherd named Chunk. He needs extra long walks (even when both had to wear boots!) and extra attention, and I was happy to oblige! I am experienced at administering pet medicine but to be absolutely sure, I would like to discuss this responsibility and assess my qualifications on a case-by-case basis. I work from my home office and have a flexible schedule. Watching a dog in its home is ideal for me because I find the animals are most comfortable that way! As for walks, I have tons of experience keeping dogs safe and active. I'd love to know your shared favorite neighborhood route! Looking forward to helping out and meeting your pup!

Caitlin watched our two dogs for 4 days and was wonderful. One of our dogs is older, blind, and takes meds twice/day so we’re always a little nervous leaving her with new people, but Caitlin quickly alleviated any nerves when she came over to meet them. She kept us updated everyday with notes, photos and any questions that came up, which we appreciated. When we came home the dogs seemed very relaxed and Caitlin had made sure the house was clean.
We highly recommend Caitlin! She and her boyfriend took care of our 11 year old precious dog Lua, who is blind. Lua stayed with Caitlin for 2 and a half weeks which was the longest we had ever left her for. Caitlin did an amazing job caring for Lua. She was so warm, welcoming, and considerate. She communicated with us throughout the trip, sent pictures, and even arranged her house so that it was most comfortable and safe for a blind dog. She also got Lua through 4th of July fireworks which we know is not an easy day for animals. Thank you so much, Caitlin, for being such an awesome friend for Lua. She came home happy, relaxed, and well taken care of. We appreciate you!!!
We came home to three very happy animals and a very clean house! Caitlin was outstanding in her first stay with us, and we look forward to the next one :)
Caitlin stayed at our home with our dog, Dutch, for several days while we were out of town. She was a real delight to work with. She kept in communication as necessary and the house and dog were both exactly as we left them! Caitlin is reliable and easy to establish a relationship with. Most importantly, Dutch seemed to like her - - in fact, I think he is missing her attention!! I would, without reservation, choose to have Caitlin work with us again.

Information Caitlin N. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know specific commands used with a dog and if the dog has any triggers. For example, my rescue dog gets very nervous when someone in a ball cap shows up. No hat, no problem! If your pup has a favorite walking route, please share! Lastly, if I'm staying at your place, let me know if you have any rules I should enforce while in your home. For example, "No pups on the sofa."
A typical day
I love a good park because I know most dogs do too. Pups that need more frequent or shorter walks can also be accommodated.
