Pet care experience
Hi there! My whole life I have had at least 2 dogs and 3 cats in my house and have been responsible for helping care for them. I have taken care of small 10 pound dogs and dogs up to 90 pounds. From puppies to senior dogs, I love them all. When I am not at home with my own pets, I work at a pet store while completing my degree so I’m around animals all the time. Pets have always taken to me very well everywhere I have gone. I'm the type of person to stop on the street for every dog I see to try to get a chance to say hi! I love every pet as if they are my own. Thank you for the opportunity to meet yours!

At home my pets are fed twice a day to space out their feedings as one of my cats is slightly overweight and can’t have food out all day to snack on. There is always clean water available. We have a decent amount of property, so we take our dogs out to run a round a couple times a day. When I watch someone else’s pets I take them on leashed walks unless otherwise specified that they have a fenced in area to ensure the pet’s safety. I have had a pet in the past with diabetes, so I am knowledgeable on administering medicine to pets.

A typical day
I love seeing pets happy, so I always like to ask the pet owner what will accomplish that because every pet is different. If your pet is active, I love being outdoors and going for walks with them. If your pet is older and like to relax more, I love to cuddle up with them.

Availability
Currently, I am working towards getting my teaching credential and master’s degree. So, right now I work 2 part time jobs, one as an elementary school instructional aide and the other at a pet store. This means that before noon on weekdays I am at the school and after 5 I sometimes work at the pet store. My schedule for the pet store changes week to week, so sometimes I work 1 weekday night and sometimes it’s 3 nights a week. On the weekends I almost always work at the pet store for 4-8 hours a day.
