Full-time stay at home dog mom!
Pet care experience
I always keep my calendar up to date so you'll always know when I'm available! I can also care for and check on cats, rats, mice, bunnies, chinchillas, fish, plants, chickens, and so much more! I currently live in Oregon City, but before moving I had spent 3 years as a live in dog nanny in SE Portland. Feeding, bathing, playing with and walking my mother-in-law's Pitt-lab, Pug, Puggle and my own Chihuahua everyday. I completely understand difficult dogs. My mother-in-law's Pitt-Lab was not the friendliest towards new humans or dogs but I never had an issue with him. We hit it off well when we first met. I also believe when dealing with nervous dogs not being afraid can help relax them. They feed off our energy. If we're afraid, they're afraid. Of course little dogs do this all the time and no one thinks much of it but when it happens with a big dog it's seen as aggressive or dangerous and I really don't agree with that. It's not fair to the bigger breeds. When I'm hanging out with your doggo we'll have lots of fun running around, playing and snuggling. We'll Take plenty of potty breaks. and feedings if requested. I can also bathe your pup if you'd like. I'm just no professional groomer. No fur/nail trims. On walks we'll explore the neighborhood, play at parks, have a grand old time. And I'll send you lots of fun photos and videos of your doggo during our activities. I'm a stay a home dog mom so I am available all the time. When you need me to be there, I'll be there. If you want me there at 12:16pm I'll be there at 12:16pm. But I really don't like being late or making people wait for me so I might be a little early. I'll always keep you informed on when I'm on my way, when I get there and when I'm leaving. For overnight sittings if you need me there all day I can be there all day. If you don't need me there all day just let me know when you would like me to be there and I'll be there. I hope you pick me as your dog sitter/walker and look forward to meeting you! :)
Reviews
Caitlin was an awesome dog mom for our Skippy. Super communicative, kept us updated with photos and was flexible on pick-up dates/times. Thanks Caitlin!
Daisy has the best time with Caitlin, it’s basically a vacation for her too! Caitlin has a great backyard for outdoor play and always send plenty of photos and updates!
Caitlin took vey good car of Butch, who has had little experience away from home. She sent pictures daily, which was helpful for our seperation anxiety.
Caitlin was great! I was super worried about leaving Daisy as she was a rescue and I was worried me leaving her would trigger some abandonment anxiety but Caitlin did a great job of spending time with her and keeping her calm and engaged! She sent plenty of photos daily along with updates on how she was doing. She followed feeding and medication instructions perfectly. I know Daisy was in great loving hands and will definitely be rebooking!

Detailed instructions are always very helpful and greatly appreciated for stays and visits in either your or my home. Please never be afraid to be as detailed as possible. For stays in my home we recently had a fence built so dogs will have free reign of our large backyard for potty breaks and play. Outside time will still be surprised to ensure safety. There is a rather large park near my home perfect for daily walks if requested during stay. My home is currently a remodel in progress, old floors and unfinished walls so accidental messes are never a worry. I can handle the more reactive dogs if it’s in your home. For stays in my home though, dogs must do well with other dogs and cats for all animals safety. We don’t crate our animals at night, they usually sleep in bed with me. You are more than welcome to bring your dog’s crate or dog bed though if that is what you prefer for them or feel it would make them more comfortable.

Information Caitlin M. would like to know about your pet
➡Doggy Daycare/Boarding: Please make sure your dog is current on their flea treatment. Fleas can be picked up anywhere so please help me keep them from getting into my home. Things you’ll want to remember to bring at drop off: collar with tags, leash, plenty of food for your dog’s stay, any necessary medication, your preferred dog shampoo/conditioner if baths are requested, and a bag to hold everything so nothing gets left behind. ➡On Walks: Are there any health concerns I should be aware of? Is it ok if a strangers dog approaches your dog? Is your dog easy or difficult to walks? For example difficult could mean pulling me to the ground, barking aggressively at others, darting all over the place, lunging at bikes/humans/dogs/cats/cars/etc. Easy could mean walking by my side(not pulling), ignoring outside stimulants, listening to commands. Do they know any specific tricks that make walking them easier? i.e. Sit, stay, wait, leave it, or some similar. Do you have any preferences on where or how I walk them? i.e. Running alongside a bike, playing frisbee in a field, with treats and commands, near the house, at a park? ➡For Check-ins and House Sitting: Are there any health concerns I should be aware of? Can I bring my dog with me if the stay is longer than 6 hours? Is your dog potty trained? If there are any accidents in the house where might I find the cleaning supplies? If feedings are requested where might I find the dog food? How would you like me to prepare meals? If baths are requested are there any special instructions on how to bathe them? Will I need to give them treats, or anything to possibly calm them if they don't like baths? Do you want me to bathe them inside or outside? Where will the supplies be located? Do they have favorite toys? Are there any other animals you'd like me to care for? Most questions will apply to them as well. Do you need me to water your plants and or garden? Would you like me to vacuum, mop, or pick up poo in the yard? Detailed instructions are greatly appreciated. Never feel like you're being too demanding. This is for your fur baby after all.

âž¡On Walks: I will look up a good route around your neighborhood via google maps before the walk. Unless you have a preference on where or how the walk goes. If the neighborhood is not safe, i.e. no sidewalks, busy roads, fast cars, I will usually go to a park and do some laps around the track. Or we can burn those calories playing frisbee or fetch in a wide open fenced off field. âž¡For Check-ins/House Sitting/Daycare/Boarding: There will be plenty of snuggles and belly rubs going on. We will do fun stuff like play tug-o-war or fetch. Even brain games if you have any in mind. Walks are included if stays are longer than 2 hours. Baths too but only upon request. For baths in my home please let me know your preferred dog soap or bring some for their stay. Animals will eat plenty of owner approved treats and food based on instructions. If there is anything else you'd like me to do feel free to let me know.
