Pet care experience
I’ve caring for my own pets & neighbors/friends’ pets since I was a child. I currently live on 2 acres with my dalmatian, Irish setter, 2 malamutes, & 4 cats. I’ve had cats, dogs, ferrets, hamsters, an aquatic turtle, & a gecko. I have 4 years experience through a large company with doggy daycare, boarding, spa services, & medicating dogs. I have experience medicating cats & ferrets as well. Limited experience with chickens, sheep, goats, & small reptiles - but willing to meet & greet just about any creature. Animals are my life & I promise to treat your pets like family! Virginia LLC, privately insured through Pet Sitter Associates, & have completed the Red Cross Cat & Dog First Aid program.
Reviews
Such a positive experience with Caitlin - dropping in on two dogs AND two cats. We’ve had her sit before and will definitely again. Always attending to the big dogs and even able to connect with one our more skittish kitties - providing us great confidence that our pets are well cared for. Thank you, Caitlin.
Caitlin is the best. My pups love her and the attention she gives them. She spoiled them this week. Thank you for loving them like your own. Highly recommend!
This was my first time using Rover for my boys, and I am so happy that we were able to have Caitlin as our first sitter! She has a wealth of knowledge with animals, and she understands animals wants and needs. She made sure our boys were happy, safe, loved, fed, watered, and comfortable, during her drop-ins. They loved hanging out with her, and I know they are looking forward to the next time she visits! 😁
The BEST!

Safety, trust & environment
When in a client’s home I’m respectful of their property & ensure it’s in the same condition (if not better) upon departure. All pets are loved & treated as my own. I’m happy to accommodate almost any request such as additional pictures, additional updates, or special needs. A lot of my clients live in rural areas with limited signal so I track drop ins on my watch & provide a screenshot of the completed “workout” with time stamp & location as proof of service along with the Rover card. Sometimes with back to back drop ins & driving it takes me a little time to get the report typed up but I always send one. I generally try to update sit parents twice a day - once in the morning & once in the evening. At the very least I update once a day 😊 Inclement weather policy: If Fauquier County Schools are closed, I’ll likely be unable to complete drop ins. Storms frequently take out limbs and trees along my road blocking us in. I will get up early on days with winter weather forecasts to check local roads & let you know if I’ll be able to make it.
Information Caitlin E. would like to know about your pet
I’m open to requests for pretty much anything to enrich your pets’ staycations & ease your minds while you’re away. Just let me know important things like medications, special needs, quirks, etc
A typical day
My day consists of whatever your pup needs. Bad weather? I have a variety of puzzles & treat dispensing toys. Good weather? Let’s hang outside and toss the ball around or splash in the pool. If your pup prefers to cuddle on the couch, we can do that too. Got cats? No problem, I’m happy to tailor my day to them as well. I like to do little fun things with the pets in my care as well such as making treats, art projects, & photo shoots. I’m open to requests for pretty much anything to enrich their staycations & ease your minds while you’re away be it for the workday or a longer trip.

Availability
I left my full time job in November 2022 to pursue pet care full time. When on a sit I spend the majority of the time with that pet(s) with the exception of some drop ins which can sometimes be up to 4 hours absence.
