Pet care experience
I've been a pet owner and animal lover my entire life! I am currently the pet parent to two mischievous cats and two energetic doggies. We recently moved to Maine from Indiana where I had experience volunteering at animal shelters off and on for 12 years and I received my degree in Animal Science from Purdue University. Being a lifelong pet parent, animal shelter volunteer, and large animal hospital worker has provided me the experience working with a wide range of pets. I have experience working with cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, horses, sheep, cows, goats, and even farm raised deer/elk! All of my personal pets have been rescued from animal shelters and have allowed me to learn about taking care of pets with special needs. I have experience with puppies/ pets still in potty training, high energy dogs, under socialized dogs, senior pets, pets with special medical needs (specifically a lovely dog who needs seizure medication daily and suffers the occasional seizure), cats/kittens of all temperaments, and every pet personality in between :) I look forward to meeting your pets and taking care of them as if they were my own :)

Caitlin was phenomenal. From before the visits, she was extremely responsive and flexible when our plans changed which was immensely helpful. Our dogs can be a bit particular about who they let around them and they immediately warmed up to Caitlin from the first day she came over to visit them. During the visits she spent her time with all 5 of our animals and it definitely shows. Our cat Charlie can sometimes get stressed when we leave for long periods of time. When we got back he was immaculately grooming himself just as if we had not left for 10 days in a row. I could go on and on about all of the amazing things that Caitlin did for us and our animals while we were away. The one thing that bears specific mention is that she gave us peace of mind. She was on time like clockwork every single visit and her communication with us when needed was timely and helpful. If you're in need of someone you can trust with your fur babies, Caitlin is a fantastic choice. We can't speak highly enough about her and the work she does.
Caitlin was amazing when watching my dog Roxy! She was so attentive and sent detailed updates and pictures with every visit, and was wonderful for what great care she gave to Roxy, especially despite the booking being on rather short notice. When Roxy left an accident she went above and beyond to reach out, clean up and stayed extra time to take care of the situation, just going to show how dedicated she is and what great of a job she does. I would trust her in my home and with Roxy again anytime, and will definitely book again with her!
Caitlin is fantastic! She was very patient with my dog - who is slow to warm up to strangers! - and she won him over in no time. I greatly appreciated her constant communication and updates as well. I will feel confident having her look after Dakota again.

Whenever I am watching a new pet I always make sure to schedule a meet and greet beforehand to ensure that the pet is comfortable with me and so I can review the care instructions with the owner. It is important to review any restrictions the pet may have along with any medications/supplements that need to be administered. I also make sure to ask about typical routine so I can try to stick to their normal schedule as close as possible.
A typical day
I enjoy taking the time to figure out your pet's favorite activity. Sometimes its a favorite toy that they LOVE to play with or its a walk around the park - sometimes its both! Whatever it may be, I will make sure to carve out a good chunk of time dedicated to doing their favorite activity while mom/dad are gone.

I currently work from home full time in a remote based position. This allows me to be flexible with my work schedule and work with whatever schedule is needed for your pet.
