Pet care experience
I've taken care of many dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, a rat, a gerbil, hamsters! I used to be a vet tech before coming to California and had three dogs and two cats as well. As a vet tech I learned how to administer medication, do basic pet grooming (like clipping nails or giving baths), and deal with pets with various personalities whether being super shy or aggressive or extremely excited! Additionally, I have fostered over 20+ dogs and volunteered for the Duke Canine Cognition Center while I was in undergrad at Duke. While there, we focused on training several puppies basic commands prior to them becoming service dogs while the center was studying their behavior. I am hoping to go to vet school soon and just love spending time with all the fur-babies I meet!

I don't have a yard but the apartment complex I live in has two dog parks and is an extremely safe and walkable area. Whether you want me to just hang out with them in my home or take them on several walks a day or to the park, just communicate with me what sort of activities your dog enjoys and I can make sure we set aside time for all of it.

Please let me know if there are any special needs or behaviors or medications that the pet needs. Additionally how much and how often you'd like them to be fed and the frequency for walks (if a dog). If they are a puppy or are training let me know what commands to work on. If they have high energy please let me know so I can make sure they have an adequate amount of walks or bring them to the dog park (if applicable). If you are dropping them off with me (doggy daycare or boarding) please be sure to bring food treats toys and either a bed or their crate depending how you have your dog trained.
A typical day
I love playing fetch and tug with dogs whether big or small and giving them tons of pets! My neighborhood has two dog parks I can bring them to. One is good for socializing the dogs and one is rarely used so good to play fetch in without worrying about how they get along with others. Additionally my complex is very walkable and has a hiking trailhead near my apartment so I can take them on many walks and let them sniff around to their hearts desire!

I am currently working fill time from 8-4:30 Monday to Friday in Irvine. My start and end times are a flexible and I can provide drop ins, walks, and house sitting outside of my work hours!
