Pet care experience
I have over 15 years of experience caring for animals, most recently on a farm in New York state, and used to rescue and foster Pitbull breeds while in undergraduate school. I have a deep connection with animals and just love being in their presence. I feel comfortable administering any medications if needed, going for jogs, a long walk to the park, a quick check-in, or a week-long sitting gig, whatever you need. I will also reinforce any current training techniques you may be working on with your pet as I have minimal experience in training as well. I recently moved back to GA after finishing graduate school in Maryland where I worked with Rover for 2.5 years! I have tremendous flexibility as I work remotely, and truly miss being around 4-legged fur babies. If you have any other questions for me, don't hesitate to ask! Cait took amazing care of our dog. She clearly spent a lot of time with him because when we returned from vacation, he was relaxed unlike other times. She's also a great communicator and checked in with us a couple times just to keep us updated. I would definitely call on her again as a dog sitter (and house sitter too!).

I do live in an apartment, so I don't have much room inside, but our complex does have a fenced-in dog park for the pups to run around freely and happily. Our complex is gated and has a great security system; every door required a door code and our apartment entrances are from the inside, so there is a lot of security and safety measures. Since the apartment is small, smaller dogs and cats may be best if I am boarding in my home. When in my client's home, I will make sure to get a list of all the house rules and procedures and make sure to follow them. I have no problem contacting the client if I have a question or am uncertain about anything in their home. Better safe than sorry!

No breed preferences, but would love to know if there are any medical conditions or special needs and if they are territorial. Also, specifics around feeding is very helpful.
A typical day
Depending on the location of your home, I will find any dog parks or nearby walking paths to go for a stroll with your dog. I'm happy to just run around, play with, and toss the ball while reinforcing any and all rules you may have with your loved one. I live near a lot of hiking trails, so am more than happy to go on hikes if they are up for it. Otherwise, we can go on a log walk around town.

Availability
I currently work full-time in a remote position, so I have a lot of flexibility when it comes to my schedule and can easily fit in check-ins throughout the day, before, and after work. Since I work remotely, I can easily pet sit for you in your home while you are away, which I find is best for the animal as they are more comfortable in their own familiar spaces. I can always work with you!
