Pet care experience
As a full time business student at PSU I would love to put my free time towards something that makes me happy such as being around and caring for animals. What better way to do this than taking care of dogs and cats! I've owned both dogs and cats my whole life (20 years) and am a current owner of one dog and two cats as well. My experience ranges from small to big dogs as well as puppies to elderly dogs. The same applies to kitties! I believe all dogs can be good dogs with the right guidance and of course patience! When working with animals, there a number of factors to take into consideration such as personality, age, health or breed! Its all about wanting to make any animal feel happy and comfortable while maintaining structure and routine in their day to day lives.

Cait has watched our new puppy 3 times over the past few weeks. Cait's willingness to work on the potty training in this early phase had been so helpful! I know there must be a lot of playtime since Dexter is ready for a long nap when he gets home!
Cait was awesome! We hired her to care for our cats while we were away. She was friendly when meeting to give her a key and show her around, and proved herself to be trustworthy and reliable. She took some cute pics of one of our cats, which put us at ease. We would definitely use her services again!

Breed doesn't define a dog! I do not discriminate against any breed. Things I want to know before sitting a dog are the basics such as allergies, illnesses, medications, leash preference as well as personality! Are they shy at first, outgoing, aggressive toward kids or other dogs? What are their favorite things to do or get into as well as a background to any training they have or are currently doing that I may need to do as well.
A typical day
With dogs still in training, I find a long walk in a quieter neighborhood is the best. They get to explore and meet dogs in a safer way and have fun, without as many distractions that could hinder their training on a leash or potentially just scare them. I love dog parks as well but not all dogs love dog parks! Personalities vary. Some dogs want to run with the pack, car rides, play fetch in the yard, go on a hike or maybe just take a nap in the sun!
