I've spent the past few years volunteering for and fostering at various animal rescue organizations so am confident walking and caring for all sizes and temperaments of dogs, including reactive dogs. I grew up with a large dog and frequently dog sit for her as well as the pets of friends and family. My parents don't trust anyone else to care for their geriatric dog or cat while they travel. I have stellar reviews on Trusted Housesitters and Airbnb. I have my own large, high-energy rescue dog in whom I have invested countless hours training. I believe in postive-reinforcement based methods learned from training courses and books on behavioural psychology. I've even clicker-trained my foster cats! I love all kinds of animals and have cared for dogs, cats, ferrets, gerbils, rats, mice, hamsters, birds, geckos, frogs, and horses. I spent June 2017 volunteering on a horse ranch in Sweden caring for the animals and spent a few summers riding and caring for horses at the local YMCA. I'm also a semi-professional pet photographer.
