Making Animal Welfare a Priority
Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals my whole life. I worked at an animal shelter as an Animal Care Attendant where I walked dozens of dogs every day, cleaned kennels, administered oral medication, and provided enrichment for all of the animals including but not limited to dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I fostered a litter of four kittens until they reached an ideal weight to be adopted. I have also volunteered at an animal shelter as well as an animal sanctuary in which I learned the basic skills to take care of a wide variety of animals from farm animals to animals typically seen in shelters. When it comes to dogs specifically, I have walked dogs of all sizes and personalities. I have had some training on how to properly interact with them and hanging out with animals is my favorite thing to do. I have my own cat (she was a foster fail) and I have also had a dog, rat, and gecko as past pets.

Cadence has been helping me to take care of my sweet bulldog Teddy, and has made such a big difference. I’m able to focus on my work, knowing that the drop-in visits provide Teddy with a lovely distraction and companionship. It also means I don’t feel too guilty taking care of a few house chores when I get home. Most importantly, Cadence was available on short notice when I had to go to the ER for some medical issues. I highly recommend her services.
Cadence is the first person I would want to have take care of my dog. She is sweet and loving and incredibly responsible. She also is a passionate advocate for animal rights and adoption. She will take the job seriously and your dogs will thank you.
I am a mom of a beautiful golden retriever, 3 rowdy cats, and a fish and when Cadence watches my animals she treats them like the furbabies they are. She went above and beyond to pay attention to the needs of my pets and cared for them as her own. Her experience with fostering kittens and history of volunteering at animal sanctuaries/shelters makes her uniquely equipped to take care of pets. I am beyond pleased with her dedication to showing animals the love they deserve.

A typical day
I will walk to the various parks around me. There is also a dog park nearby I can take your dog if they are able to handle situations like that. I will find various ways to get their energy out like playing tug of war or playing fetch (if they can be off leash)

I am available any time during the day, but I cannot do overnight stays since I have my own animal to take care of. I can work full-time or part-time.
