Pet care experience
Animals have been my number one passion since I was a toddler. Every birthday as a kid I'd welcome a new pet into my life. In High School I worked at a local pet store and volunteered caring for horses. In college I worked at Dakin Humane Society as well as with Labradoodle puppies being trained as therapy dogs. After college I worked in two different animal hospitals running the day care and boarding kennels. Now post college I foster both cats and dogs and care for colony cats in West Philadelphia. It would be my joy to care for your pet whether it's a much needed potty break during the day or a weekend slumber party. I'm experienced with timid pets, pets who need medication, and pets with special needs. Cade was house sitting for us caring for our dog (pitbull) and cat. He was on time, is reliable and understanding, got along with our animals very well and even watered my plants and took a package in. I'll ask how your pet is with other pets and people, if anything scares them, if they have any special dietary needs or medications, and what their favorite things are. Your pet will be with me at all times. I also enjoy sending photos and updates to pet parents so they know their pet is doing well.

I want to know everything and anything you think is relevant to your pet's care. No detail is too small or silly. I'll want to know about behaviors, wants and needs, dislikes, fears, and any special dietary or medical needs.
A typical day
I love to give dogs their best day ever, whether that be cuddling on the couch or going for a hike. If your dog is social, we can walk all over West Philly and meet human and dog friends. If not, we can head to a more secluded area for some exercise.

Availability
I work as a therapist 3 days a week from an office and 2 days a week in home. On the weekends I'm completely free for your pet care needs. On days I am home I can step out to check on your pet in your home or host your pet at mine and guarantee potty breaks at least once an hour. I tend to start work later in the day so overnights and mornings work well for me. My schedule can vary week to week as a therapist so don't hesitate to reach out and check in about my availability.
