Pet care experience
Growing up I took care of small animals (hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish) and now I own a sweet shy kitty and two fun energetic dogs. Rescuing these animals has been one of the highlights of my life! They truly bring so much joy. I am very much a cat person by nature, but I have also become so delighted by dogs. :) We love hiking, going on adventures and camping with our puppies. I have been a human caregiver as an ICU nurse for over a decade. I'm very comfortable with medications and administration. One of our dogs struggles with allergies, and our cat has had some kidney and bladder issues, so I have experience giving pets medications and monitoring symptoms.

Cacia reliably showed up each day to care for my cat, notified me every time she visited, and followed my instructions to a T. She was comfortable with administering medicine that my cat needed, which helped me feel better about leaving her alone for several days while we were on vacation. Cacia was great! I was hoping with her calm personality that my kitties wouldn’t hide, but they still mostly did. She even tried all things, and at least got a sniff from one! They’re scared of everyone so I sort of expected that. They still thank you for their wet food and clean box! Great communication, very respectful. Would recommend!

We have a fenced in yard, so our dogs enjoy playing outside. I love hiking and taking them for long walks! We are very diligent about keeping our dogs on a leash. Both of our dogs were rescued at a young age, and we did puppy training classes with them. We used clicker training and positive reinforcement methods.

With my arm injury, my main restriction is I can't pick up your pet. I have experience with dogs about 40-60 lbs. I can walk both of our dogs by myself, however, with my arm I've been doing one at a time.
A typical day
I love staying active and getting outside, in all seasons and all weather. If your dog is up for a walk I'm game! Our dogs also like playing fetch, tug of war, being chased around, all sorts of goofy games. :)

Availability
At the moment, I am recovering from a broken arm. I cannot perform my nursing job for a few months, so I'm looking for extra work. The pros to this are that I have a wide open schedule! The cons are a limited use of my left arm, however, I am right handed and I've been able to take my own dogs for long walks, play with toys, still feed and clean litter boxes, etc. The only physical limitation I have at the moment is a weight restriction, so I couldn't pick up your pet.
