You Need a Sitter– I Need a Dog Fix

I am a life long animal lover. I was the kid on the block that everyone would bring an injured animal to or would call if they needed a dog sitter/walker. I just love animals and really love dogs. So why am I doing this? It may sound weird, but here it goes. My dog died a couple of years ago and I really miss having a dog and thought this would be a fun way to have some doggie companionship and help people needing a dog sitter. To help cut down on the stress and anxiety a dog can experience being in a new environment - I will only have 1 dog at a time in my house (unless they are they are dogs from the same household). I work from home and am able to pet sit weekends, weekdays, and holidays. Note for dogs larger than 40lbs, boarding is an extra $10/night. Sorry, there is not a way to specific this in the fees section. I hope to hear from you soon!

Constant updates and pictures to how she was doing. Oh and she ate! Donut usually won’t eat the first couple days away from home, but Buddy was able to get her to eat, each day she was there! Thank you so much Buddy for your love and care for our Donut! She came home chill and happy :).
Buddy took such good care of Oreo! Kept me updated with photos and even made a beautiful collage of Oreo. He was reliable and very caring. We will definitely contacted Buddy the next time we need a sitter.
Buddy is the best! He has boarded Ruby twice now and we absolutely love him. He sends plenty of updates and pics during Ruby’s stay with him. We will definitely be using Buddy’s services in the future.
Buddy took this job at the last minute after our friend got sick when we had a trip planned, and it was a perfect experience for us and our pup. I wasn’t sure our dog would like want to come home after all the fun he had going for walks and hanging out with Buddy!

One of the many things I love about boarding a dog is it gets me out to exercise. I live close to the lake so I usually take dogs out on two longs walks, two short walks, and night/morning potty breaks (or more if needed). Also, please bring your dog's favorite toys and I will play fetch or hide-n-seek or tug-o-war in the house.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors I should be aware of (i.e. seizures, separation anxiety, getting into trash, chewing shoes, eating garbage on walks, disposition with other dogs/people while walking, etc.).
A typical day
I live two blocks away from the lake with lots of water, sand, grass, trees, and bushes to keep your dog engaged and stimulated. If your dog is dog friendly and is accustomed to dog parks and the dog beach, I love taking dogs out to the Prairie Wolf Dog Park in Lake Forest, IL. Also, if you make the grooming appointment, I'm more than happy to get your dog all cleaned up after our days of fun before you pick him/her up.

Availability
I currently work at home and am rarely out of the house for more than 2 hours a day. If your pet enjoys riding around in the car and running errands with me, then he/she will come along.
