I'm a current volunteer at Home 'Fur' Good animal shelter, and a former volunteer at Valley Dogs Rescue. At Valley Dogs Rescue, I walked dogs around the aisles and parking lot of Petsmart during their Saturday adoption events. At Home 'Fur' Good, my responsibilities range from cleaning kennels to washing bowls to playing with the dogs. A major part of my role as a volunteer is getting to know the dogs and learning more about their personality and behavior, and helping them come out of their shell and work through their bad habits. I've grown up around big dogs, but I enjoy working with dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. Between volunteering at pet shelters and dog sitting for family friends, I've cared for dogs with wide ranges of size, age, and needs, from week-old puppies, diabetic puggles, and an arthritic 15-year-old Doberman Pinscher. I also have experience caring for cats and tortoises.
