Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Bryant! I'm a medical student, portrait photographer, I run a healthcare startup, and I'm also a dog dad. Over the years, I have worked with dual-purpose police K9s and military working dogs, and have trained my own dogs in competition obedience, agility, and protection sports. I am experienced with all methods of dog training (free shaping, luring, clickers, ecollars, etc) and dog handling (leash skills, dogs that are reactive or anxious, dogs with various health conditions, etc). I'd love to take care of your dog! A few things that are important to me: 1. I believe that dogs are more than accessories - they are our companions, friends, and adventure buddies in life. 2. There's a difference between training a dog and raising a dog. Training means formal obedience, while raising a dog means showing the dog how to live with you such that it doesn't have to be kept in its crate all the time. Training is optional, but raising a dog with love and care is a must. Regardless of whether you are trying to compete in Schutzhund/IPO or adopting your first family pet, in the end, it's about being able to live with your dog(s) in a way that allows both you and your dog(s) to find happiness and fulfillment. 3. There different classes of dogs. Just because someone loves "fur babies" doesn't mean he or she is ready to handle all dogs. Education and experience are key. 4. It's not the dogs, it's us - instead of blaming dogs for being "stubborn" or "difficult", we should take responsibility and ownership of helping dogs through problems. ---------------- MY DOGS: 1. Ellie (mini Aussie) - my 14lb phenom who runs a 6min mile, is undefeated in 5k races, has climbed up a 2000ft summit, finished a 5hr hike at Lost Maples, and is competition-trained in obedience and agility. 2. Kodiak (Boxer-Staffy-Corgi-Chihuahua mix) - my first and only adoptee, he's an amazing disc dog with more personality than a toddler. 3. Kaos (Dutch Shepherd) - a high-drive, working dog from Romanian K9 bloodlines, perhaps the most athletic dog you will ever meet. ---------------- DROP-INS: Dogs and Cats WALKS: I generally only walk dogs that are leash-trained. If your dog is a hard puller, there will be an additional $5 fee - I will make sure your dog is safe while also working with your dog on leash skills during the walks. Two paws up for life with dogs!
Reviews
By watching our petcam, we weren't very pleased with Bryant and it was very disappointing. He also left our door unlocked and all the lights on in our home. When I tried to address the issue, he stopped responding.
Bryant is excellent. We have hired him for the better part of a year for everything from walks to dog sitting. He is trustworthy, dedicated to the animals he cares for, and the pups love him :)
Took great care of my boys while I was out of town. Sent photos on each visit and kept me well informed. Highly recommend!
Very responsible, polite and gives me updates

Information Bryant H. would like to know about your pet
Is your dog fixed? Are there any behavioral concerns I should be aware of (e.g., reactive toward strangers, barking when people knock on doors, chewing on shoes or furniture, etc)? What are your house-rules (e.g., are dogs allowed on furniture)? Are there any special dietary or care requirements? What are your dog's favorite activities? Are you willing and able to provide proof that your dog is up-to-date on vaccinations?
A typical day
Depending on the dog and owner's preferences: trail runs (or walks), strolls around the neighborhood, exercise in a huge green field, obedience training...just to name a few activities.
