Paw-sitiv I wz born 2care4 ur Pet💛

Pet care experience

Through out my life; I’ve had all sorts of jobs from construction, handyman work, to caregiving for special needs and pet caregiver as well. I recently traveled to help volunteer with “Save a Turtle” we rescued green sea turtles. It was a wonderful experience. Since I can remember; I’ve had pets ranging from parrots, cats, dogs, chickens, turtles, fish, snakes, ducks, turkeys, honey bees, as well as a pot belly pig named Buddy who thought He was a dog! All dogs come in all shapes and sizes and I love them all. It fascinates me how each dog has something to offer whether it’s a hug, a lick or a bark - they all have something special and unique about them. Each dog has a different personality too. I can honestly say I remember every pet I’ve had as a guest at my house through Rover. Each one was special. I’ve helped family and friends in need over the years with their pets and still continue to do so. I’ve taken in rescue animals of all sorts over the years. I am retired and am home 24/7 day and night. I really enjoy this and it brings happiness to me. I’d love to have your pet over as a guest in my home. In addition to my pet sitting services - I can do long term boarding. You can book last minute or even months in advance for your pets. I have an organized schedule. When dogs are my guests I take care of them, feed them, comfort them, play, pet and hug them and bring them out for potty breaks as well as walk them every 2-3 hours using a leash at all times, etc. As for my roommate Carolyn - she likes to take photos of the dogs from a different perspective and she also sits and plays with the dogs. I feel this is a good balance and a win win situation where the dogs get love and attention from both of us like when they’re home. I also have cameras set up in every room of my house - so I can see what’s going on if I’m walking from one room to another. I feel it’s imperative to keep pet owners informed every 2-3 hours with photos, videos and information on how and what their pet is doing. I have no problem with pet owners contacting me anytime to ask how their pet is doing. 🤗 Please let me know while your pet is in my home if you’d like one or two updates or every few hours of updates, photos and videos. You might have noticed and questioned why one of my scores is low when all the other scores are high. Due to a technical error that occurred with a dog walking booking on Rover which couldn’t be fixed it caused the score for dog walking to be a false low reading. If you’d like to speak to the person of reference who tried to leave a good review about my walking her dog Louie - you may call her. She would be glad to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for understanding my situation. Please don’t hesitate to ask and I will give you her number when you request it. If you are a repeat client and are going to make a reservation for my pet sitting I’d be glad to honor my original daily rate $ from our first booking reservation etc. In addition - I locked the original booking rate for my repeat clients so prices never go up. As you can see some of my Rover rates have increased over the past year. If you have more than one dog or combination of cats and dogs to be cared for I’d be glad to give a group discounted price. Thank you so much

Bruce is a lifesaver, he’s taken Walter on last minute emergencies and work trips and he goes above and beyond with the communication and care he gives. My dog absolutely adores him and it’s evident Bruce has a special heart for animals!

Bruce took excellent care of our dog, Calley, for a few days. He and Caroline sent lots of updates and photos of Calley in the yard and house. We couldn't be happier, and we're so glad to have found such an excellent local dog sitter. Communication was perfect and Bruce is very caring - it's clear how much he loves dogs! We highly recommend him and definitely plan to use him again in the future.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a little more than an acre of land. The short green grass in my yard is regularly mowed by myself. My house is a one floor ranch. I have a handicap accessible ramp for disabled and old dogs to walk down in my back of my house. My yard is unfenced but I have overhead secure steel cable runners that I put up that are attached to two trees (80 feet apart) so dogs can run back and forth. When walking outside I use a collar and leash for all dogs and with my dog too. My dog eats 2 times a day and relaxes in the living room with me. She sleeps on my bed at night. I have no issue if your pet needs to be in a crate to relax or to nap otherwise I have more than enough furniture for your pet to relax on or if need be they can sleep on my bed. When and if I have more than one dog in my care at one time, I have separate rooms that dogs can be separated. In addition to closed doors; I also use gates when walking from room to room to avoid any chance of confrontations. On occasion if I happen to have the same breed and same size staying in my home and a pet owner requests for their dog to socialize with others I always make exceptions. Thank you 🤗

Does your dog need special requirements like activities to help them relax. Dogs personality. How often dog eats and potty breaks. Any nicknames. Its helpful to know if your dog is a rescue dog and if it suffers from any type of fears or behavioral issues like territorial etc. I have No Issue pet sitting a dog that has behavioral issues for example separation anxiety but please let me know so it’s not a surprise and so I can help your dog from the moment he/she arrives at my house. A typical day

Depending on the environment if fenced in or not like to walk the dog and play outdoors throwing a toy or ball and the dog retrieves it. Take dog for a walk with leash. If inside play with toy with dog, cuddle and pet them while I talk to them.

Availability

I’ve had pets all my life. I recently retired and have plenty of time day and night to care for your pets in my home and it would be an honor. If you know when your vacation is even if it’s several months away, but not ready to pay or don’t have the finances to pay at this time you may reserve the date with me on rover and let it sit in the “pending” section till the month you are planning your trip and pay then. If you would like to see the room your dog will be staying in please don’t hesitate to let me know. I’ve always been an animal lover and it brings me great happiness and joy being in the company of animals.
