Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Brooks and I’ve lived in an animal family for my whole life. Throughout my life I’ve been given an opportunity to grow up next to cats and dogs that greatly impacted me as a person which now has given me an understanding that these pets we have are truly members of our families and deserve the best care that they can get. I’ve always been around animals, so I’m very used to interacting safely with them, but for the last 5 years I’ve been taking care of my 100lb Husky/Lab Miles, so I really understand what it means to walk/live with a big dog. I’ve also lived in Washington my whole life, so I’m very used to the weather we have here, I’ll always make sure we go on quality walks no matter the weather conditions. My goal here is to provide a service that centers on your pet’s happiness and safety while also making sure you feel comfortable throughout the whole experience, so I’m hoping to communicate and figure out the best way to care for your pet and to keep you updated throughout your whole leave so that you’ll be able to focus on what’s on hand without worrying.

Brooks is absolutely fantastic!!! It is a bit nerve wracking to book a new sitter when you are going to be out of the country for two weeks, but Brooks set our minds at ease pretty quickly with his kindness and diligence. He provided updates twice/day with photos, walked Bo every day and let us know of any concerns, brought in mail and packages, watered plants, kept the house nice and tidy, and even washed the bedsheets and remade the bed. Bo is very loving but he's a needy 100lb Doberman so that's a LOT of love to have to put up with if lol. Very grateful to Brooks for his excellent care of our dog and our home. We have already rebooked him for a weekend later this month.
Brooks did a week of drop-ins and walks for us and we really appreciated his help! The pictures and updates he provided were just what we needed to know our pups were being taken good care of.
Brooks is incredible! He’s so kind, knowledgeable, responsive and clearly experienced with taking care of pets (and homes). I know my dog is in good hands when Brooks is taking care of him and I will continue to use him for future trips!
Our pups were very happy to see Brooks again! He does a great job of playing with them and sending us plenty of pictures. Thanks again!

I understand the importance of physical activity and play time for your pet's overall health and well-being, and I will make sure they get the necessary amount each day. In addition to physical care, I believe that love and attention are crucial for a pet's happiness and will make sure to give your pet plenty of both. I also understand that every pet is unique and has different needs, so I am always open to adapting and adjusting my approach to meet the specific needs of your beloved companion.

To make this experience as safe and fluid as possible I’d like to know of any physical limitations, health issues, behavior triggers, and unique personality details of your beloved pet, this way I can make sure that your pet is cared for in the best way possible and we can all stay safe. UPDATES: Hello! As of right now October will be my last month actively working here at Rover, from now on I won’t be taking any new request from new or reoccurring clients and after this month I’ll be stepping away from the platform to take care of personal business. Thank you all for your understanding and it has been a pleasure getting to know all of you & your amazing pets.
A typical day
For a me a typical day with your pet will revolve around them, the baseline will always be their original routine that they’re usually on because I want them to feel comfortable and have a sense of normality. Then something I love to do is just go for long walks around whatever neighborhood your in, I love that i’ll get to explore a new place and i’m sure that your furry friends will appreciate being out as much as we will be. And if you’re near the steilacoom area I would love to take your pets to explore the Farrel’s marsh trails or take them down to fort steilacoom park where they can really get out and stretch their legs.

Availability
My schedule is completely open and will be formed around Rover appointments, If I’m unavailable its because someone booked me for that day. I am happy to offer drop-in visits for pets that I have already met in person. On the other hand, I am unable to offer drop-in visits for pets that I have not yet met. This is due to the fact that I want to ensure the safety and well-being of all the pets in my care. In order to do this, it is important that I have the opportunity to meet any new pets with you present before offering drop-in services. I hope you understand and appreciate my commitment to providing the best possible care for your furry friends
