Over my lifetime, my family has had three Rottweilers, a Basset Hound, a Collie, a feral cat, as well as fish. I have a year of experience walking and feeding (along with housesitting) a rescue Pit Bull, interspersed with taking care of family and professors dogs. Currently I work at a grooming salon as a bather, so every day I interact with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, and can handle them well. I have been told my coworkers who have been groomers for years that they are extremely surprised when I tell them this is my first time formally working with dogs, since I work so well with them.
