I have had a pet dog since I was 14. As a baby, I was bit by a dog under the eye and developed a fear. However, when my Mom brought home a West Highland Terrier, Callan, that fear quickly turned into pure love. I voluntarily fed and walked the dog every day, and always wanted it to sleep in bed with me. Instead of the dog wanting to play too much with me, it was the dog that had to reject my pleas to play and cuddle. Callan eventually passed away but my Dad then got a Pit/Labrador mix, Talulah. I take care of Talulah just as I did Callan. I am the pack leader with the dog, but we are still best friends.
