Pet care experience
My six siblings have all had their own pets, and I’ve had my fair share of taking care of them (most notable was my sister’s pet pig!). I come from a farming background, so cleaning up after animals is no biggie for me. I aid my aunt in house sitting and taking care of her dogs whenever she goes out of town.

Living in an apartment does not create any problems in raising our dog - he is six months old and listens for commands to sit, speak, lay down, jump, and stay. He is crate trained and basically potty trained (meaning he relies on us to take him outside, he knows not to go in the house), however I still take him out as often as possible, even if he doesn’t “go”. I am fully capable of following a set routine for your pet, or just watching your pet for a short period. I’d love to get to know you and your pet and be a reliable caretaker for your loved ones

I should know if your pet has any trouble feeding (we monitor Polo’s water intake) or any other behaviors they have that could potentially cause harm. I would also be interested in knowing if your pet is crate-trained. If they’re not then it’s no problem, I just wouldn’t let them leave my sight!
A typical day
Polo and I love to take walks on the beach — he loves digging in the sand and having open space. We enjoy finding new places to play in Evanston, including large patches of grass to run around on. Polo has plenty of toys he’d love to share as well!

My dog Polo is practically my child. I watch him full time, feed him twice a day, and take him outside as often as I can. We love to take walks on the beach and other places nearby. Although I live in Rogers Park, I spend most of my mornings and afternoon in Evanston — I’m available in both locations
