Endless hugs and trail walks!

Pet care experience

**Available for last minute July 4th help!** I've been working on animal care and pet-sitting for over ten years, with experience with a variety of animals---dogs, cats, caged animals, reptiles, and birds. I have a flexible work schedule, so can accommodate your family's needs. I'm an active person who loves being outside, and would love to take your pet on adventures! I'm a social worker by day, so remaining calm and compassionate comes easy to me. I've worked many petsitting jobs with animals with high-needs regarding care and health, and am willing to work with you on whatever you feel will bring the most comfort to your pets. I've spent my whole life living with animals and can't imagine life without them! I hope to bring comfort and stability to you and your pets in times of need.

Brooke was excellent to work with when house sittingduring our international trip! She was great in adapting to Buggy's walking, exercise, and feeding routines, and even offered help with small tasks like getting the mail and watering plants. Brooke left the house in great condition and we could tell Buggy really missed her when we got back. Would definitely recommend!

Brooke did a great job taking care of our black lab! We got plenty of updates and she came back happy and relaxed.

I have a dog-friendly cat (adult, F) and a dog (adult, F) to keep your animal friends entertained. We have lots of dog toys here and my dog is very open to sharing. The layout of our house is fairly open with plenty of room for fetch and tug-o-war. Animals are allowed on our furniture, and we have a cat perch and a handful of cat trees/igloos. We have a very large, unfenced yard with cable tie downs, and have a bike trail running through our backyard for walks. We live on a side street with minimal traffic and it stays quiet in our place, for any pets who find loud environments stressful. Our place has heat pumps with Air Conditioning and ceiling fans in each room, and an efficient heating system to stay warm in the Winter. In your space, I make time around your animal's typical schedule to come hang. For dogs who are a good fit for it, I love taking dogs I'm sitting on walks/swims/hikes with my dog for some extra company. I am open to taking your dog to dog parks too!

Information Brooke S. would like to know about your pet

Because I have animals of my own, my preferences are for the following: - In-house sitting: It's hard for my dog when I'm away more than a few nights in a row, so I prefer either spaces where she could come spend the night with me (I wouldn't leave her in your home without me there), or stays away from my home that are 3 nights or less. - Boarding: My very-spunky cat is largely unafraid of dogs, however, being chased is the one boundary she has; if your dog is staying with us we would need to feel confident that they wouldn't do that. My dog gets along with most dogs that aren't small, so if your dog is under 30 pounds I would prefer we test it. I have a separate room in my house where caged animals could stay that my dog and cat do not have access to. I'm able to make exceptions to the above on case-by-case bases, but the care of my own cat and dog comes before my business-- sorry!

A typical day

I spend much of my free time exploring the parks and trails around Seattle, and have a dog-friendly SUV to make travel to these areas even easier! I also frequently provide care for older animals and am more than happy to spend nights in relaxing if that is preferred.

In your space, my end goal is to book my time around your animal's typical schedule. I have some schedule flexibility with my work but the exact schedule often changes-- I'll be sure to be transparent around my scheduling boundaries before and during a meet-and-greet session.
