Hi there! My name is Brooke and you know those people who stop you when you’re walking and excitedly ask if they can pet your dog? I'm one of those. Growing up I’ve always had pets. I got my first puppy when I was 3 and we were attached at the hip. I’ve owned a Brittaney Spaniel, Chocolate Lab, Chihuahua and Jack Russel Terrier mix, a Keeshond, and even now my parents have a Great Dane I helped take care of when she was a puppy. We had cats, birds, fish, chickens, turtles and more. Since I’ve been around animals my entire life I’m extremely comfortable with all shapes and sizes of dogs and most pets in general. I’ve just moved to Chicago in December, and am currently a student working on my pilot licenses. Since I am a full time student right now it enables me to be there almost all day with your animals and provide the best care. Since I don't have any pets myself, I will treat yours as if they were mine and Rover is my way to still spend time with animals. This was our first time booking through Rover and Brooke was very responsive and helpful. Even on just a few days notice, she was able to accommodate a meet-and-greet. We felt immediately at ease and confident that Brooke was a great choice to watch our pet/home. Both were well cared for and we will definitely book again.
She was amazing. Our dogs loved her and she took great care of them. She sent me pictures and updates when i asked but otherwise she let us enjoy our vacation without having to worry about our fur babies. I am already planning the next trip in which I will be asking for Brooke.
Brooke was amazing during her overnight stay for the week she watched my dog. She was always quick to respond to any messages I sent her with questions or updates and would always send pictures of my dog during her updates. She took extremely good care of my pup and I could not have asked for a better person to watch my dog. I highly recommend her and will be contacting her again for any future dog sitting needs!

Pets really become family, and any extra precautions you take to maintain safety for your fur family I am happy to incorporate. I really try my best to make sure that animals don't have major changes in their schedule when you're away, I think it helps to reduce the amount of stress they experience. I'm very empathetic and it is genuinely so important to me that your animals have good care and that I'm doing what I can to make it a pleasant experience for both you and your animals when you do have to go for an extended amount of time.

I would definitely prefer to know about any preferences your dog may have, any history with violence, injuries or how well your dog does with other dogs or if dog parks should be avoided. I'd be comfortable giving medications needed as well. Things like eating times, food amount, if they have a history of accidents when you're away, if they chew things up at night or if they need to stay out of certain rooms.
A typical day
I am very open to any suggestions to mimic what you have already do with your pup, if there’s any dog parks nearby or any particular route you take to go for walks.

I‘m currently a full time student so it's pretty easy for me to incorporate pet care into my daily and weekly routine. It's something extra that I love to do so it's easy to make the time and effort.
