We 💜 sm-med dogs!

Pet care experience

I’ve loved and raised one very awesome 7 year old cat, and two very great puppies to even better adult dogs (5 years total), although one of those dogs lives with my ex now. I walk Dennis regularly and I’d love to pick up dogs on our walks and get them to the dog park! I also understand the burden it can be to find care while your away, and I’m happy to help. They’ll receive at least 4 walks a day and ample playtime. I’m also happy to work on training while your away. I live in a 1200sq foot apartment and am very outdoorsy. Your pets will be well loved. I work from home, and personally try to get in 10,000 steps per day! That’s a long morning walk and a long evening walk with a shorter afternoon walk to top it off :) I already am caring for my own pup, so it’s easy for me to take care of yours too In my home, doggos run free with the cats and sleep where they like. Dennis is a good boy even when we’re gone, so it’s rare that we crate him, but I can accommodate crates if I need to step out and your pet buddy doesn’t like to be left alone I work part time from home, so it’s super easy for me to give the doggos lots of love and attention. Also, Dennis is a great play buddy, so dogs I sit are usually well entertained :) Same way I care for my own! Feed pets around 9am and 5pm, walks first thing in the morning, before bed and then about twice on the middle of the day on average. They go where I go! So if I walk to get food, I take my dog friends with me :) I currently work ~25 hrs/we from home and another 6 at the Abbey (T,Th), but Jordyn works full time from home and Cody only works on weekends so there’s always somebody home to love and care for the doggos 😊 I care for pets in my home the same way I care for my own. While sometimes loud voices are necessary to scare doggos off something they shouldn’t be getting into, we like to use lots of positive reinforcement to get the behaviors we want. This means lots of “find its” to help doggos calm down if they’re overexcited, rewarding them when they lay down on a dog bed or walk away from something really tempting but naughty. Otherwise we encourage lots of play time to tucker them out

Brooke took wonderful care of our pup. We felt very confident leaving Gouda with Brooke and would absolutely book with her again. Our old lady even had a pep in her step upon returning home!

Do they have separation anxiety/do they need to be crated if we leave the apartment for any amount of time? What games do they like to play? What should I do if they get hurt or sick/who is their vet? Is there anything that scares them (other dogs, loud noises, being held)?

A typical day

First, a long walk that passes by a bunch of gardens. Then breakfast and work, during which doggos usually like to play and nap. Then an afternoon walk, home again for chores and tussle time and then another long walk in the evening. Friday-Monday there’s usually a couple trips to the doggo park
