Animals are family, always.

Pet care experience

I have 11 plus years of experience in animal care: animal husbandry, litter care, fostering, and training. 🐶🐾🦮🦴🐕‍🦺 Growing up, in my house, we had more dogs to bond with and talk to than people. This was my Father’s way- who bred AKC Labrador Retrievers at one point. I’ve never known another way to live honestly. I learned how to bottle feed puppies, babysit juveniles, play with young adults, and care for elderly dogs. I am also well equipped in administering medications (orally, topically, injection). Now, I currently Foster through Dallas Animal Services and FWACC. These experiences have gifted me with the skill it takes to cater to the ones who need more peculiar care. This is my butter, or jam. 🐷🦆🐴🐍🐊🐢🦀🦨🦦 As for the more “wild” animals, I have professional experience working at the Herpetarium (reptiles and amphibians) in Barrier Island Camp in Charleston, SC. I have the necessary training to work with turtles, snakes, lizards, frogs, and yes, even alligators. Additionally, I served as a volunteer at Charles Towne Landing Animal Forest for over 2 years where I became familiarized with tending to possums, raccoons, birds, farm animals, and many other larger mammals. ⚡️With that being said, my skill in animal care is both diverse and professionally honed ⚡️ Most importantly, I have obtained this experience because I have the active passion to care for animals well. Please, feel free to text me at any time- questions, concerns, or comments. Let’s set up a walk, a visit, or anything else that I could help with.

Brooke was so kind to my rescue dog. He is new to the family and I was nervous for his first Rover visit but she was perfect. Kept me updated during her visit and made my dog feel attended to and happy. Her love for animals is very evident and I was extremely comfortable having her visit my pup.

Brooke was very caring and the pets loved her. You could tell that she really loved animals and was patient with the pups until they greeted her and calmed down a little. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a house/pet sitter. Good job, Brooke!

Brook did a super job taking care of our boxer Luke. We came home to find him relaxed and happy and I could tell he was a little sad when she left. I would definitely recommend Brook to take care of your fur baby!

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a green area filled with parks and dog-specific areas. I do not have a backyard of my own, but my pups are still exercised and stimulated. I do have a porch that the doggos may chill on when not playing, walking, etc. I can provide a crate for down time, and establish boundaries with my resident dog if needed.

Information Brooke H. would like to know about your pet

*No breed or size preferences. I would like to know the animal’s temperament, fears, and preferences beforehand, as well as and any special accommodations you recommend. My desire is to provide an environment for your pup/cat/pet that minimizes any possible anxiety due to transitions, and instead maximizes their peace and comfort.

A typical day

I'm a fan of long walks myself, so I'll take the doggo with me. I live right near two big dog parks that I visit frequently with my own dog. One of those parks are usually empty so it’s a nice space to get unbothered play time. I'm a master at DIY animal enrichment activities. Also, pet naps are important and I provide a safe space for that.

I'm currently unemployed due to personal reasons so my own dog gets everything he wants (with wisdom) and needs. I look forward to giving that to another dog if someone chooses to book with me. It’s just a big party over here.
