I’ve taken care of animals in multiple ways since I was 10, I grew up with a fox red lab her name was Zoe, my family had gotten her when I was 2 so to me she was basically here my whole life. Unfortunately she had to be put down a few years ago at 15 and it was the hardest thing to go through. I never realized how much she affected my mental health and well being. About a year later we decided to get a new puppy and we chose a black lab, who is actually Zoe’s long distance cousin. She’s the dog that Zoe sent us from up above and she’s the joy in all my days. Growing up I also volunteered in animal shelters, helping feed the dogs, take them on walks, bathe them, play with them, etc. I did this for several years but as I got older and came to college I haven’t been in a while.
