Pet care experience
I have always been an animal lover and I have had a particular passion for dogs my whole life. I had a family dog, that was a Yorkie, for 16 years that I helped to care for. I was also the main individual to train him. He was my absolute best friend growing up. He eventually got sick and had many special needs during this time which I paid close attention to. Aside from my childhood dog, I have also had experience watching my friends’ dogs over the years. I now have a dog of my own! He is a 1 year old Australian Shepherd. He is an energetic and loving dog and I am currently working to train him to be a certified therapy dog. I am a new college graduate and I have plenty of free time now that I hope to fill by spending time with your beloved furry friends!

Before caring for a dog I would like to know whether it is spayed/neutered and if it has any behavioral tendencies. I would also like to know what they usually like to do and if they have any specifics needs I should be aware of such as dietary restrictions. I also would like to know a bit about their personality like if they have separation anxiety or don’t like other dogs etc. so I can be prepared to provide your pet with everything it needs.
A typical day
Based on the preferences of the owner I will have play time in my large backyard. I will also take dogs on walks around the neighborhood and at different parks throughout town. I also enjoy taking trips where your dog will have the opportunity to do things like swim. Again I will only do what the owner is comfortable with. Time spent at home will be filled with games like fetch, tug of war, or keep away. I also have experience with training so I am willing to spend time working on training with your pup if there is anything you want to work on. Then once all the work and play is done there will be endless love, cuddles, and pets for your good boy or good girl.
