Veterinary Assistant & Pet Owner ❤️

Pet care experience

I am a Veterinary Assistant with a burning passion for animals! My job has given me the skills to notice important changes or indicators of your animal’s health while you are away. I am experienced in caring for puppies, senior pets, special needs or disabled pets, small animals and exotics, and farm care. Before becoming a vet assistant at my current job, I worked as a Kennel Tech/Vet Assistant at Fixing the Boro (a local spay/neuter clinic) and also was heavily involved as a member of the Rescue Team. I have fostered over 15+ cats and rabbits! I am very big into TNR, and actively trap, neuter, rehab and rehome kitties! I personally own and care for guinea pigs, cats, and a rabbit! I have years of experience in feeding and walking animals, cleaning up after them and cleaning their toys and beddings, as well as administering medications and doing basic grooming (nail trims, brushing, ear cleaning). I have cared for: dogs (small-large), cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, chinchillas, lizards/geckos, fish, birds, horses, chickens, goats, and more!

Brooke cared for my (7!) kitties and was wonderful! She took extra time to navigate the cat politics of my house. She sent report cards and photos of each cat for every visit and communicated about anything that she wasn't sure about. She really gave me peace of mind while my family was away. I will absolutely hire her again whenever we travel!

Brooke was super. She went above and beyond for our four cats, leaving a retailed record with plenty of pictures of each visit she made. She did more than we asked, changing the cats' water, scrubbing out the littler box, etc. She made friends with our three finicky indoor cats, and the outdoor kitty fell in love with her. We will definitely ask for Brooke's services again!

Brooke did above and beyond what I requested when taking care of Finn. After returning home, the house was in perfect condition and Finn is extremely happy! I couldn’t recommend a better person to look after your fur babies :)

Safety, trust & environment

I will only walk dogs on-leash for their safety and others, as well as no puppies on the ground outside of home without completed puppy vaccinations. All of my pets are spayed and neutered, as well as vaccinated and kept indoors 24/7. I like to know what my clients pets like and dislike so I can make their experience fun and comforting while their owner is away! I like to bring treats and toys as well as participate in their normal favorite activities (because routines are important to them!) I am also willing to take and pick up your pets from vets and other appointments.

A typical day

I will provide stimulation with: trips, fetch, swimming (if possible), puzzle toys & feeders, frozen lick toys/mats, command training, walking, etc. If owners are okay with it, we can go for a pup cup or a trip to the dog park!
