*TEMPORARY CHANGE IN AVAILABILITY DUE TO PRIMARY EMPLOYER STAFFING NEEDS: M-F must be after 4pm. Weekends will be evaluated upon request*** I have cared for cats for over 25 years of varying temperaments. I have dog sat and walked on and off for 15. I have spent 1.5 years in a veterinary technician program learning medication administration, clean and disinfectant care/husbandry, would care, sedation, parasitology, animal diseases, and safe restraint techniques (be aware I am not licensed and I will not diagnose - if I see something of concern I will provide the observations and urge you to seek veterinary care). I love animals of all kinds. If it means you have other pets that also need care, I have you covered. Small animal experience includes rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, gerbils, and the occasional iguana. If there are specifics, please let me know! I currently have 3 cats of my own. If you have an allergy to them, be upfront. I will take care to ensure clothing is free from dander and hair and remove my shoes upon entering the home. Every animal will get one-on-one time if they allow it - this means play, pets, praise, and pampering!!

It is imperative you inform me of their health history. If they are on medication, consistency is key for a happy life/recovery and I want to ensure that it is maintained. If there are behavioral issues, honesty is preferred. I'd like to be in the know if there is a jumping habit, nipping, scratching, etc. so I can best modify my approach with your pet. Please note, this is also to screen for unsafe situations and my ability to observe your pet while working with them.
A typical day
There is no need to limit the fun that can be had. Toss a ball, go for a ride if they like car rides. What about a dog park they frequent? Treats are fun if they are utilized to teach too!
