Dog Lover &Experienced K9 Caretaker

Pet care experience

***I currently have limited availability for daycare and boarding services due to client volume, my calendar in rover may not always reflect this accurately, but we can chat!! It is the center of my care that I am an advocate and safe space for dog when they are away from home and their comfort zones! I want any dog I take care of and watch over to feel safe, happy, and like I’m another member of their pack! I have worked with 100s of dogs in my experience. Besides training, caretaking, and maintaining my own dogs (large dog breeds are what we’ve always owned) - I also have been the go to caretaker for the dogs of anyone and everyone in my circle - large, small, puppies, senior dogs, etc. I also have worked in the dog industry and my experience is extensive. This includes working with 50-100 dogs at a time, boarding and daycare expertise, any and all cleaning and organizing for the pups, medication administration, feeding times with any and all diet specifics, canine behavior and body language reading and adjustments based on what I see, managing canine anxiety, quirks, possible aggression, and/or discomfort, dogs walks and stimulation, socialization, and training dogs based on what I know and what can work (only with parents permission - reinforcing what pups have learned is so important when they’re away from home/with other people!).

Brooke is phenomenal!! She truly goes above and beyond. Brooke is great with Bessie, she is very kind and great to deal with, and we could not be happier with the care she is giving!

She just has a way with dogs. I’ve used her services several times. Our Buddy loves her, so we will continue to use her services whenever needed.

We recently had the pleasure of having Brooke look after our dog, Spencer, for six days. From the very beginning, Brooke demonstrated exceptional care and professionalism. Each day, we received thoughtful updates accompanied by photos, which were not only reassuring but also highlighted the genuine enjoyment and attention she provided to Spencer. Her kindness and enthusiasm for taking care of Spencer were evident throughout his stay. We truly appreciated how she made sure Spencer was comfortable, happy, and well-cared for. This level of dedication and the quality of service we received from Brooke has been the best experience we've had on Rover so far. We highly recommend Brooke to any pet owner looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive sitter. She goes above and beyond to ensure your pet feels at home, and her consistent updates bring peace of mind. Thank you, Brooke, for your wonderful service and for taking such great care of Spencer!

Brooke is wonderful. Our dog is not easy to handle, and she was very understanding, punctual, and flexible. Would absolutely recommend her to take care of your furry family members!

Safety, trust & environment

As previously mentioned, my highest priority is making sure I am an advocate and safe space for dogs when their owners are away. I want them to feel safe and happy and like I’m another member of their family/pack. I always want to honor and follow what owners expect (training/obedience maintenance, feeding (times and meal requirements), cleaning any messes, watching and engaging with the dog to avoid behaviors like going for household items/furniture/non-dog toys, and maintaining the space in my home and any client homes. I also like clients to get updates, photos, and communication regularly and anytime they need that comfort and reassurance of how their dog is doing! My position is to do the very very best I can for every dog as if they’re my own.

A typical day

It depends what the pups preferences are! Of course walks are a fantastic start - whether it be in my neighborhood, at the park, at forest preserves, etc. I like to provide various forms of stimulation (especially for active dog breeds and puppies) - a dog with stimulation and who gets tired out from activity means a good day for the pup! I want them to have a full day, not be bored and under stimulated. I like to have a balance between long active walks and walks that are for exploring what’s around them - smells, outside elements, noises, people, etc so they are well socialized and stimulated! I also of course will engage with them with toys, games, doggie puzzles, so they feel connected and comfortable with me. And of course, same with anything else, whatever the owner requests - you know your dog best.

I am a freelance personal trainer, and at this point in my client scheduling, I have a lot of open free time at home whether I’m off or doing virtual work. I am very available for pups to have plenty of outside time, attention, stimulation, and making sure pups are happy, comfortable, and behaving well! **important to note** if choosing house sitting, I don’t sleep overnight in your home but I do walk, play, hang out with, feed, change waters, let out, and follow a daily schedule you have for your pets! I can also do simple household things (water plants, feed fish, etc) per your request
